In another word, Only states with spikes like Lagos would be shutdown.

Lagos State Govt and NCDC would be happy with this news... More money to their account.

. Same with me bro, some of us escaped be lay off after d first lockdown though with half salary. Now, dey still have d mind talking about lockdown whether selected or not. Dey should just kill us because nobody will borrow or dash me money for house rent, NEPA bill, lawma, security and other bills in Lagos state except my salary by working.

HeadShot:

Lagos would be locked down not a national lock down .. They need to isolate the worst hit region

And how do u ascertain the worst hit region? By results of the selective tests you have been getting all over the place?

We are just deceiving ourselves in this country!

For all I know some states shouting NO CASES could have more cases than Lagos and KANO put together!
But we will never know! Why?
Because zero to low testing are being carried out there!

OK, take for instance Oyo state that was recording 2,3,0,5 cases daily overtime recorded over 30 positive cases in one day just because a company decided to screen all its staffs!

This is what is going on in Lagos daily, reason why they keep getting more positive results.

In essence my point is, we are way beyond the phase when lock down can possibly work.

And lockdown without aggressive testing and isolation of infected individuals is a complete waste of time

Only the very advanced countries can sustain it for a longer duration, third world countries can't for more than two months,we are a fourth world country, so a total lockdown is out of the question.

I read the write up and I still don't understand what is meant by "Isolated Lockdown" .

We have to live with the pandemic, like an unwanted benign growth and hope it goes quietly on its own.

Last last, everybody go enter street because Hungerbad and then it trickles down to the Law of Natural Selection.

Advance country self cant, spain has hit recession already.

Please how are they making more money during the lock down? Can you throw more light? For a state like Lagos, the amount of money they make in a day as IGR when the state is at full function is far more than what they can get during lockdown. So I don't understand your point of more money
. U are generalizing it. He didn't Lagos state but individuals like d governor, commissioner for health, some health workers, ncdc staff in Lagos etc.

If they implement isolated lockdowns, expect mass migration from such areas the moment before the lock down is implemented

God has delivered Africa already especially Nigeria. The problem now are the politicians amplifying the issue in Nigeria in other to keep cashing out big, as a result many will die of several unrelated diseases due to their greed.

I quite agree with you. That rotund man that speaks English like a Bush man is definitely a sadist.
He is on fat salary and he is advocating for a draconian lockdown in Lagos knowing fully well that 90% of Lagosians are in the informal sector of the economy.
When I started disliking him was when he said Electricity is cheap in Nigeria. He pretended not to know that people spend almost half of their earnings to run generators for businesses and at home.
There is no doubt that he is being paid or expects to be compensated for some of the things he says on TVC.

But how? I thought the more money coming to the coffers, the more the governor or others can embezzle. Without lock down, there will be more money coming, so I don't still get it

Lagos is the business Capital of Nigeria,if you lockdown Lagos,it will definitely affect the national business environment indirectly.
