Obviously this spike in Lagos figure is due to the returnees but they will never admit that. The good news is the increasing numbers of discharged patients. They should understand that lockdown wouldn’t flatten the curve. |

I seriously worry for Nigeria. Less than 35k tests since late February for a country of over 200 million people is so paltry. This gonna be a real long bumpy ride. South Africa with a population of about 56 million has tested close to 500k people and infact tested 21, 314 in the last 24 hours. Please my people, try to be safe.

obataokenwa: When your governor lifted lockdown so that PDP can hold a function, he was not an evil man? The Nigerian Police does not want to be involved in callous destruction of people's investment. Also, sebi Wike said the Police are useless? Since you are all obeying your governor, what do you need the Nigerian Police for? Continue to obey your governor and things will be alright! |

We seriously need to improve on the number of daily tests. South Africa does over 20,000 tests daily, While Nigeria has just done a grand total of less than 40,000 tests for the past two months. Terrible!

holytribe:Honesty, people have said so many stup*id things since this virus came into the country. Some initially believed it existed when it was ravaging the world but as soon as it came in, they started displaying their stupi*dity just like they do with every other topic. Knowing that the virus is real is not fear, believing it doesn't exist is not faith either. I don't know if it will only take for the virus to infect them or some one close to them before they'll stop making those stup*id utterances. 1 Like |

MrNipplesLover:I don't think the figures are inflated. You don't know the number of infected persons by the number of sick people you see or the number of deaths. The virus isn't as fatal as so many think, but it spreads super fast and the faster it spreads the more deaths recorded. I believe there are a lot of 'healthy' untested people roaming with the virus who do not even know they're positive. |

If the President locked down early, same you people would Blame him for over zealous when there is no case yet. Now it was advise that since it's here with us let obey health expert advise, still we said we must come out. No nation including US and Canada and UK just rush in closing all their borders immediately. Here the president later made it earlier than compared to other nations that's why our Cases are not worse than theirs. Meanwhile we flaunt authority order on our part and still come out to blame government. Let's leave what we can not control and focus on the future in curtailing this, because the end is not yet. As a wife instead of crying so much for a dead baby why not brace up and conceive another baby. We can still make it at this point if only we keep to safe rules fairfora: |
