If these analyses is true ,ASSU is another pandemic virus depleting the progressive health of Nigeria interm of corruption. Why are they making noise up and down?? Why are they blaming IPPIS For their intensional sabotage by sending the list of dead people to IPPIS as their staff ? Bvn cannot recognise deed staffs without you (Assu )give appropriate information and If they say you should come in person/individual for verification more noise will still come out and the government too is not trust worthy. I am tired!!!!The peoples and the systems of this country is corrupted and scams.

Why did the govt invent the IPPIS in the first instance, is it not to checkmate those roguish ASUU?
still they ended up wasting money and still not solved the problem.

what idiots we have in this country. they can never solve any single problem, yet wasting scarce resources on finding solutions.

You passionately take side with the government on this. Pls sincerely clarify me on the following
1. Is it ASUU or the school management that submitted the lectures names to government?
2. How come the government suddenly paid ASUU through IPPIS when we all know the members have not enrolled in the platform?
3. Does it mean the accountants office does not have a control of who is on its payroll?
Kindly answer sincerely.

NB. What I can deduce from the defence above is that, the IPPIS system is highly susceptible to fraud in form of ghost workers if any name can be paid on it. How did the dead lecturers enrolled in the system?
ASUU itself has no hand in the embarrassing payment. How can ASUU submit their members names to the accountant office to be paid on a system that they oppose? ASUU we all know are on strike, so which ASUU submitted the names. The universities management who are not part of ASUU submitted an erroneous list to the account office who totally failed to detect the error. So what is the fault of ASUU in all these. ASUU just raised an alarm that dead and retired members were paid, and they didn't lie. It happened. Why can't the incompetent office of accountant take responsibility rather than shamefully dragging ASUU in their madness?

Huge points raised.

Nigerian Army, Navy, Police, Federal medical centers etc are heavily complaining about IPPIS. If statutory deductions was the bane of IPPIS, why are CBN, NNPC, FIRS, NDIC, POLITICIANS etc exempted from IPPIS? Abi those ones no get statutory deductions? Haba!
CBN, NNPC, etc will also be enrolled into the system. It's a gradual process. We go enrolled 2018, the system might be faulty but it will get better with time

You can see how this one will likely volunteer to bail Shekau? ASUU fraudulently submitted dead people to inflate their personnel cost yet your concern is to divert attention to an issue that has no equivalence to it?

Some people will continue to disgrace themselves because they think fraud is the shortest route to success.
Not ASUU but the university management

Are you trying to say the ASUU chairmen are the VCs of universities? Or that ASUU financial secretary is the university bursar? Understand these things before you start making comments na.

Take responsibility for Tax cheating, submission of inflated personnel records by unscrupulous lecturers?

Zombie is defending tax cheat because you hate FG.
But he is right na. The university VCs are appointed by the FG. They should hold them accountable for such anomalies instead of wailing to ASUU and the public.

So going by your argument, if the Bursars are not aware of a dead teachers in their own school, how do you expect the govt in Abuja to know that? It is is the job of the school including the Bursars to make that the people they are paying are still gainfully employed by the school.
Since they now know. Let those who perpetuated such fraud be arrested and prosecuted. Don't blame blame it on ASUU.

Typically Nigerians with bad motives. They just want to get rid of the system that's checking them more and more. They don't want checks and balances. Bunch of overrated high school teachers.

They pay less tax because the universities refuse to remove the right amount. They would not have known. It's university bursary that was responsible for tax deduction not ASUU.

There have been complaints from others too.

I thought IPPIS works on the basis of biometric capturing and enrollment, so if the institutions forwarded dead members names, were the dead members captured during the enrollment process and have IPPIS numbers from the grave? A lot of staffs are still own months of backlogs due to this IPPIS platform, yet the accountant general's office will not address thier issues.
The salaries were not paid on the platform.

even a compound Fool will know I meant university but because wailing for corruption is considered wisdom they have left the real issue to pursue dust.

They now expect a computer to detect death, a programme which is simply to manage payments.
please don't be offended but it looks like you don't even have a full grasp of this IPPIS stuff. We were meant to understand that, before you are paid on the platform, you have to enroll. ASUU refused enrollment hence a stand off ensued. Of course, enrollment is in the form of bio data capture (facial, finger prints etc). So how come a dead person was paid on the platform? Is the platform in such a way that anyone can be paid on without enrollment? Then it will be a headquarter of ghost workers knowing how our system works. Point is, the accountant general's office committed a huge blunder and they should take responsibility. Why even attempting to pay ASUU on the platform without proper enrollment? Of course, this is the result of that irresponsible decision.
The government should be careful, otherwise the public institutions will be buried finally. Knowing who ASUU are, they will never bow to this tricks by the government. It is going to be a long hard fight. I just pity the students in all of this.
Personally, I put the whole blame on the government, education funding is nothing to talk about, lecturers are poorly paid, the government cannot get the most basic of things right.
It is a pathetic situation

What truth is there? Did you not see university mgt in the pic you posted? Nothing wrong with university autonomy. What does that have to do with tax payments anyway? Are you sure you're not ignorant of issues so?

What about the FG that just paid dead people where's their shame. If tax deductions were wrongly done by the university, how's that ASUU's problem? Most of the issues raised by the AGF are the failure of the university mgt but you didn't hear them talk about sanctions to those mgts. That's what you should be concerned abt if you want to make sense.

Even Buhari has appointed dead men.
Did anyone benefit from the payment to the dead men?

If so prosecute them.

Are there no other government departments that have paid dead men?

When you in coma when Government instructed universities to submit their staff names so that they can be paid to avoid suffering during the lockdown? And they should also submit their BVN?

Keep blaming Government,I am sure it releases endomorphines to your blood stream.

Don't deviate and intelligently debate. If the universities were asked to submit names, was ASUU responsible for that? Is it not the work of the bursary? Why is he blaming ASUU? ASUU only pointed out how it's dead and retired members were paid, and the accountant did no refute this. More over, ASUU as a body refused the bvn angle as well, and their members did not submit. Why then did they go ahead to arbitrarily pay money? Why not just let the status quo remain? ASUU has no hand in this whatsoever
