chuks5552: They should lead by example by cutting down their allowances. U are appealing to the masses not to hike prices of commodities and transportation, yet u can't stop Reps from acquiring new cars, u can't cut down the allowances of the senators. To make this work, all Federal and state executives should cut down their allowances by 70% but retain their normal salary, by then this will make sense. We are tired of DO AS I SAY BUT DON'T DO AS I DO. 1 Like |

Is the FG just realizing that prices of products, goods, and services have been hiked? This plea is coming late as far as Nigerians are concerned. It would have made sense if these prices are regulated but then, this is Nigeria. 1 Like |

Provide palliatives not appeal!!! That is the point of palliatives; incentives to small businesses and service providers to ensure that they don’t pass on costs to customers But NO!! You focus of doling out 20k to poorest of the poor, feed school children who are not in school, and CBN through NIRSAL charges 20k for account opening and 10k for business plan for small business to access the palliative Now you are appealing!!! Rubbish |

Re: COVID-19: FG Appeals To Traders, Transporters Not To Hike Prices by eriko4life(m): 1:11pm On May 22, 2020 |
fg should start by stoping our security agencies from extorting motorist. from owerri to portharcourt, you will find about fifteen police check points and about eight army check points. all collecting #100 for each passage. now tell me why transportation wouldn't increase and price as well. stop the extortion and u stop price hike. |

You can't beat a child and ask him not to cry! You are enforcing social distancing which entails loosing some seat occupancy and you still want them to maintain the old price!!! Who will bear the cost of the unoccupied seats? |
Re: COVID-19: FG Appeals To Traders, Transporters Not To Hike Prices by pheelhip(m): 1:33pm On May 22, 2020 |
The federal govt should plead with the Police men and forces on the high way, na them dey extort we Nigerians, one of the reasons why the Transportation company had to hike their fares. Imagine a policeman telling my driver that #500 no be hin money, how much he want make the driver give am. meanwhile he settled close to 10check points before getting there. |

Rubbish. Can't we have price control boards and make the boards very effective? With price control do we need to stress ourselves again? |

This price hike is so annoying and policemen are not helping issues as they also milk the drivers. From Challenge in Ibadan to Redemption camp #4000 just this yesterday. |

Fg created an unfriendly business environment through Lockdown/ interstate lockdown. The cost of production is high. Transporters pay huge amounts to bribe security officials on daily bases. So,why won't they hike price? The security agents now see anybody plying d road as carrying out illegal activity. So,u must pay to b free. |
