BREAKING!!! Heavy Protest As Pregnant Woman In Labour Dies At Police Checkpoint Over Facemask(Photos)

Irate youths, on Thursday, staged a heavy protest in Abigi, Ogun State, following the death of a pregnant woman, Mrs Opeoluwa Waidat Adedeji, at a police checkpoint, Igbere TV has learnt.

Igbere TV gathered that the angry protesters, who stormed the Abigi Divisional Police Headquarters, blamed policemen manning the checkpoint for her death. The mother of six lost her life while on the way to the hospital for delivery.

The deceased pregnant woman was being rushed to the hospital on a motorcycle by two men when they were accosted at the Sowore River checkpoint.

The police officers inquired why they were not wearing face masks and also not obeying the social distancing order of the state government.

The policemen allegedly delayed the trio on a motorcycle, citing the ongoing restriction of movement over COVID-19, but later allowed them to go upon realizing the woman was bleeding profusely.

Adedeji, however, gave up the ghost before getting to the hospital, prompting the angry youth of the community to storm the police headquarters with the remains of the dead woman, insisting that policemen were responsible for her death.

This is terrible, why would they stop a woman in labour over a facemask, not just in labour. She was bleeding for crying out loud. Don't they have eyes. May they be paid in their own coin. Most Nigerian police are disgrace to humanity. RIP to the woman, may God give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. It's quite a pity.

The Nigerian Police always overdo things.

Nigerians like misusing power. Give them any position of power like Security men, Pastor protege, headteacher, head nurse or any other thing and they will misuse it

Those who are meant to protect lives are the ones destroying it......the government should do something urgently about our security personnel.......they don't value lives.

Why do non of WHO Top officials wears nose mask? Why do Non of top world leaders wears nose mask? My first week of wearing this nose mask consistently,I fell seriously sick,I had strange cough i've Neva had before and am yet to finish my drugs,Not saying don't wear nose mask if you're not comfortable but just know that you are trying to prevent something while building another, we're suppose to breathe in Oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, when we wear mask,we alter this process and it causes more internal harm than good to our health,(the worst: wearing non medicated masks like all these Ankara and stuffs like that) Do your research, use your sense and wear nose masks.

I posted the above gist on my WhatsApp status yesterday and 60% of my contacts replied with similar Health issue, let's use our head while wearing this nose mask before we kill ourselves before Covid19 does.

As for the police men I have no comment for them cos they won't improve except Corruption and Nepotism is completely uprooted in this Country.
