The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health on Monday took delivery of a Medical Scanning Machine donated by Seina Marine Nig ltd, as her contribution to compliment the state government's effort in equipping the health sector to standard, to aide in the fight of so many maladies in the state.

With the donation, Seina Marine Nig. limited has joined the list of global organizations of Akwa Ibom extraction, who has prioritized their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) geared towards engendering societal growth and state development.

Presenting the medical scanning machine, the ED Operations, Mr. Tony Ikott, stated that the outbreak of the Coronavirus is an eye opener, and necessitate a collective response from every privileged indigenes and organizations for the health sector to be up to standard.

Ikott, stated that as governments across the globe strategizes to reopen the economy after Months of lockdown due to the Covid_19 pandemics that has claimed thousands of lives, there was a need to join hands with the government to contribute towards equipping the health sector to aid in the fight against the spread and resurgence of any other pandemic.

He narrated that as an indigenous company operating within the state, they abide duly with their stipulated Corporate Social Responsibility, and that it formulates the core ethics that drives their operations in the state.
What Seina Marine is doing today is to compliment the efforts of the state government in equipping the health sector towards fighting the covid_19 pandemics and other ailments”

It is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility geared towards bettering lives and creating societal impact in the area of our operations he added.

Receiving the medical equipment on behalf of the state government, Dr. Patrick Eshiet, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, who represented the Commissioner of Heath, Dr. Dominic Ukpong said that the government appreciates the kind donation from Seina Marine Nig. Limited.

He stated that The Udom Emmanuels administration is genuinely investing in the health sector to lessen the number of foreign medical trips by indigent of the state and that what Seina Marine has done is in order.

He applauded the gesture and called on other organizations operating in the state to mimic the gesture to boost the sector.
