Mr Educated, do you know labour is part of the factors of production?

Okay dude, let’s end this back and forth.

Last thing I will say is, I understand your position, but for that labour to really be impactful, it will need to be accompanied by basic level education. Take an assembly line staff for instance, wouldn’t it be easier to train that staff if he/she had a secondary school education, vs, if he/she never even attended primary school and can barely communicate, add, or even think a bit outside the box?

Anyways, my hope is that primary education becomes mandatory for every child in Nigeria. This would mean arresting all children found begging and selling on the streets and sending them to school.

The ones that are in-school, what difference has it made?

It's better to be out-of-school and become a successful Marlian, than be in school, only to end of shouting Team Tacha and team Mercy.

There are many of them littered all over the internet. There are some presently, they wake up each precious day and head straight to expired last year BBN section on Nairaland, they fight dirty about their favourite housemates, from morning till evening. That's how they spend each day.
Others are on Twitter, Instagram, FB and else where, reacting to every unimportant posts on so-called celebrity pages, begging for money, and glorifying rétarded elements like Marley. That is what it means to be in-school these days on this side of the planet. Most end up asslickers to nonentities.
funny but true

Yet people will say Nigeria’s strength is its population.

How can your strength be an undereducated population?

Exactly!! I keep telling people that care to listen. Nigeria's population is a huge liability and the major reason for her stunted and lopsided growth. The population is largely uneducated and unskilled and even the skilled ones we have in our midst are on a steady migratory routes.
We need to enact laws that will slow down our explosive population

One even argued with me here on Nairaland last week that population has never been a problem to any country. That even Germany is even encouraging foreigners to come and have kids.

So you wonder if a country that has to plan like Nigeria does not already have a BIG problem.

With Boko Haram, kidnappers, herdsmen, armed robbers, cultists and ritual killers from primary school to university and everywhere. All due to population growth that we cannot afford.

How anyone can compare us with Germany that plan meticulously and assess need for human resource short, medium and long term is beyond me.

Mr Senate President please start with ur state, Yobe has less than 100 schools, which is the least in the country. Children trekked kilometers to go to school with no structure and facilities.

When you have people ruling fake certificates. By the way, who's fault? Imagine the northerners who will throwout their for almajiri, but will continue to give birth to children while others are out there begging

Don't generalize your claim. The east n south will do anything to send their children to school. Just say the north is overburdened with the huge number of out of school children-- almajiris
When Jonathan built gigantic schools for almajiri in the north, northerners critisized him and call him names, what they rejected yesterday is what they are now looking for today.
Re: Ahmad Lawan: Nigeria Overburdened By High Number Of Out-Of-School Children by TruthinAction: 10:42am On May 28, 2020
The reason is simply because of corruption and ineffective government. When the focus of those in leadership is to steal and loot monies meant for the public, why won't people be out of school. Most families can hardly feed, there are no jobs and education is not free as it is supposed to be. Even if it's free, parents use their children to hawk so they can feed. This trend will only stop the moment we get honest leaders who have the interest of the people at heart.
