Leadership is not in 'sharing allocation' every month.
It is in deciding to end importation of refined products by revamping the already comatose refineries.
It is in making a nation a truly independent in power production which is the cornerstone of industrialisation of any nation.
It is in paying the required attention to our education sector that has infinite capacity to produce produce personnel with ability to run our economy efficiently.
What more ,time fails me to state more....

what happens after some months of enjoyment?! Start to cry like these ones again!!
They knew it was a 2 year Programme before they got into it. Some people earn NYSC stipend for a year n saved enough to start a business. So calculate 30k for 40 months.

Why do I sense bitterness in your post? It appears you applied and didn't succeed.

Lazy youths? Only if you knew how hard many of the npower beneficiaries work!

Self employment has been the best alternative.
I'm telling you. The moment i wasn't shortlisted and went into business, i never knew i could make an average of #2mil a year. Never felt any major financial pressure i couldn't handle. Guess, it was a good thing it never came.
Sometimes i look at my house & say.. So, i can acquire all these properties at my age.. Lol

While I acknowledge the pains of a young graduate who settled down for this sham of a programme, I still vehemently mentioned and would repeat every day twice in Sunday that there is nothing good in NPOWER.

it was a political stunt and our graduate fell for it as the usual prey.

This exactly is the problem.
When a graduate is not aware that it is not deepwaters' responsibility to create job for the people.

Are you a graduate? Are you gainfully employed? Have you ever been thrown into the unemployment field before?

For you to say "there is nothing good in Npower" shows you are uninformed or mischievous or both. That statement of yours is an insult to so many Npower beneficiaries, especially the Nteach, who, for the past 20 to 38 months, have worked tirelessly at their places of primary assignment.

Since you know it is neither your responsibility to create jobs for graduates nor can you even create one single solitary job for any graduate, why don't you keep quiet and let them manage whatever legal they can lay their hands on?

So what's expected of the over 500,000? The salaries of 100 lawmakers will easily pay the fees of the so called n-power.

So you consider Npower a job? It was just a form of unemployment benefit.

Now that everyone is being relieved, complain go stop.

Unemployment benefit? Do you even know what unemployment benefit means?

Some of you who are commenting know zilch about Npower. Some of you are commenting out of bitterness. Well, this is a faceless forum and anyone can say anything, including those who are still living on monthly allowances from their parents.

What kind of job do you do? Are you gainfully employed?

The problem exactly
It is not about me
I don't even consider my self gainfully employed.
The issue here is that the government have impoverished people so much to the extent that we can not differentiate between Good and bad.

What is the need of NTEACH to BSc holder? What would BEd do if others are doing their jobs ?

No
I am saying give another person a chance to earn that amount that you have earned for 40 months. Some people have it as their monthly take home pay n they are able to feed, rent an apartment n even raise a family with it.

Is it a crime for graduates to be gainfully employed for 20 years and more. Are the Npower beneficiaries not human beings? Why do you people reason like this? If you were one of the beneficiaries, would you reason this way? If the Government does not move the beneficiaries from this temporary job to permanent one, how do you expect them to earn their daily bread?

The Government has promised to move the beneficiaries to permanent jobs. That is the essence of the Npower transition. I guess that is why the Batch A beneficiaries are still in the programme.

I don't think there is any Npower beneficiary that expects or wants to remain in the programme indefinitely and continue to earn 30k. Nope! Growth/progress is essential in Iife.

I believe all the beneficiaries, just like other reasonable human beings in our society, will like to move on from this programme to something better and not to unemployment. This, I believe, is the prayer of every beneficiary who has worked diligently for the past 20 to 38 months. If you were considerate, you would want that for them, too.

Honestly...the scheme is overdue for change of beneficiary.....

Like six of my friends who have long secured jobs for year are still paid N-power benefit while hundreds of newly discharged corp.members can't even register..

Some of this my friends got jobs even at federal institutions like universities as lecturers, at railway at 94k as wages....plenty of them...state agencies...banks....all still gets N-power benefit

EYA bad maket now that oil price is on a low your avenue for looting through N-POWER has come to an end as such excessive spending during this austerity period would be looked into and once attention is focused on the scheme you would all be caught for the high level of looting these programs are actually used for. so i guess its best to terminate the program to avoid prying eyes
