For those comparing the landmass of OAU to those of other universities or depending on info from Google, I pity una. I was born and schooled in OAU university environment all my life, from nursery to tertiary, yet I've not been able to span d whole length and breadth of d school till date, even my parents who av been here before I was born are in same situation...so I'm seriously laughing at d guy saying he did his Masters here, and as such, has seen the whole of OAU. Let me put this in context so u can understand well.... The senior staff quarters of OAU alone is bigger than 3 local government areas joined together... The junior staff quarters is almost d size d senior staff quarters (and that's just d part I've seen) OAU agric farms and zoological gardens in combination with villages in-between are the size of about 5 or 6 local government areas on d average (and that's just d part I've seen)... The road leading to d main campus is so long, u'll jog an average of 30mins before reaching d main campus(mark my word 'jog', not 'walk') The main campus itself is so large that I've not been able to see/be everywhere till date, even though I was born and raised there....there are some faculties which I've not been able to reach more than twice till date because of d distance. The areas leading up to d pre-degree campus are part of d school and are as big as 2 towns joined together...the school of pre-degree itself is something else) OAU teaching hospital plus the roads leading there are so so large and distant from d main campus itself, u'll think u are on a journey to another town. On reaching d hospital itself, u are already lost because it has about 4 phases that are already developed and d undeveloped part is 4 times d size of d developed parts....more or less like 2 towns joined together. There are some lands opposite the main gate of d campus that are also owned by OAU....the size I can't estimate cos it's just so large. And lastly there are other parts of d school we just read about or hear about, we av not been able to access such areas because of constraints like heavy forestation and so on... So pls end d comparison and stop depending on google... Google itself does not av a clue of how large the landmass of OAU actually is. Thanks. Lest I forget, it's important I also mention that OAU has 2 secondary schools and 2 primary schools, and these are far apart from d campus itself. 4 Likes |

yungchop:My friend keep quiet. What do you know about Unilorin? You might be a graduate of the institution that doesn't make you know what's happening within. I said this guy did only UTME, he was sick during their post UTME and his contact in the school asked him to relax.. He's now a graduate from the school bro. 70% of unilorin students are admitted based on tribe, Emirs list, man know man, and others. Only 30% are on merit. Don't argue with me next time. |

Sammy07:This campus na just “big for nothing”. No one good structure, ma just land. As far as Nigeria is concern, Unilorin is the largest university inNigeria with about 15,000 hectares of land and follow by OAU with 13,500 hectares of land. I have been to both universities. Unilorin structure look more like a secondary school but go to the likes of OAU or UI or ABU, then you will know that Unilorin can only boast about their calendar. I Dey my house for Tanke, all the unilorite should come and beat me 6 Likes 1 Share |

Aerial views of GREAT IFE.... U see all those hills u are seeing at d background...they are all part of d landmass of d school and it extends to areas far behind d hills...all those areas are not even accessible for now but they're part of the school.... 3 Likes

SolarEdge:Don't be dumb, give a name. I guess you were unable to secure admission that's why you're painting the school bad. I have nothing to say to people like you that come online to say things without proofs. Emir's list? Lmao! I guess the thousands of igbos and Ebira students in Unilorin are related to the Emir too! UNILORIN is culturally diverse, just forget putting tribalism and Unilorin together on the same line. Retard. |
Re: Drone Shot Of University Of Ilorin(better By Far) (pics) by yungchop: 12:55am On May 29, 2020 |
Johnnyessence:the guy is just being bitter! Imagine saying Unilorin is tribal biased, a school where you find students from all tribes in large numbers. |

Sammy07: Which side you covered in OAU. You can try to go to the school's farm anytime and come and give us feedback here. For your information again, OAU has Airport in its master plan. Don't pass through road 1 to senate building alone and think OAU has finished there. |
