Please I need response on this. I am married and I and my husband bear the same surname which is his family name. However, our children bear the combination of my husband's first and middle names (compound name) as their surname. It is this (the compound name) they have been using in school (though still in basic school) and their birth certificates. My question - Will this not affect us ( me and the children) if we want to process our traveling papers (visa and airport screening).
Thank you

when processing your papers, marriage certificate will be required, DNA stuff will also be required. No be by force make all of una get the same name. but of at any point you have changed names or titles or spelling of names, affix an affidavit.

I believe since this first name and compound name is among your husband official name then they shouldn't have any problem. For example you husband bears Femi as name and ibidapo as compound name your son can be called Kelvin Ayomide Femi-Ibidapo. It is common now a days that parents don't even register children in school with the name on there birth certificate.
