Insecurity of market share among cameroonians is the cause, competition is healthy for business to thrive.

I was in Ibadan and was surprised as a woman told me its a taboo to sell whatever item your neighbor have in store. I found it hard to believe though asked some questions from people around within my short stay yet I could not be convinced.

Good point, and the answer is simple. It would increase their already bad losses. And something tells me many of the Cameroonians have already taken huge losses due to covid (our fellow countrymen too have taken the same thing too...but when one is suffering, one does not see others suffering).
