A robbery attack at a Bank branch in Isanlu town in Yagba East local government area of Kogi State and a police station in the town on Thursday, June 4, 2020, has left many people dead.

Details of the attack still remain unclear, however, it was learnt that the robbers first stormed Isanlu Divisional Police Station where they killed those present and thereafter proceeded to the bank where they also killed more people.

Kogi state's police spokesperson spoke to Daily Trust saying;

“Attacks on a bank and police formation was reported by civilians but I can’t give you details because the DPO on ground cannot be reached yet but the Deputy Commissioner of Police is on his way to assess the situation."

It has been alleged that the robbers operated for more than 1 hour in the Kogi community.
