I've been saying this since 2014/15 when Jesse Oguns recruited the first set of Nairaland influencers.

Their products has always been shitty, but those guys would write tens of topics daily to praise their dodgy devices.

See, I have inside info but let me keep quiet. That is not why I come to Nairaland and I am anonymous most times.

Then I also saw this while reading online.

It is a well-known fact in the industry that Transsion brands has digital marketers on their payrolls. These individuals basically spread the “Gospel” according to TECNO, Infinix and itel. Whether this new onslaught against Xiaomi phones is the handwork of these marketers remains to be seen. But so far, the complaints have been tame – nothing caustic like what the 3 musketeers of Transsion have been subjected to in the last few years.

I want to ask, who are the marketers on Nairaland and why are they angry?

I read one guy talk about demarketing all the time. Xiaomi warriors claim to fight for emancipation. What are you guys fighting for?

I really don't get. If people are paid to market a product, why are other competitors having a problem with that? It makes no sense.

Actually I think it is the marketers who have a problem with other people talking about other products.
