i recently suscribed to airtel BIS and wen i was activated i culd use all oda applications,browse, use nimbuzz evn d app world works but my bb messenger aint pinging,my facebook and twiter keeps telling me i am currently on a service plan which does not support this application contact your service provider, wen i call d customer care they tell me d fault is 4 rm my fone cos my bis is active , i cant even connect to my email server, someone said i shuld upgrade d fone dayt i mite have tempered wit sometin but i wanna b sure b4 doiing anytin, i use a bb javelin 8900 running device software 4.6 plz i will b very grateful if i can get a solution

If you freshly subscribed, I guess u do a hard resetting(remove and reinsert d battery). It shud help. Airtel bis sucks anyway.

question is, is this yo' first time of subscribing to the bis since you got the phone? if yes then depending on the kind you got, new or fairly used, if fairly used, then its most likely the apps have been tampered with, whatever the problem maybe, an upgrade would def. solve the problem. funny enough, i just upgraded my bold 1 to the 5.0 yesterday and some lil problems i used to experience are no more. you'll need the bb desktop manager and then go to crackberry.com to download the update then run yo' desktop manager, it'll automatically see the update then you install! mine took approximately 20 mins to update but depending on yo' computer specs, it could take much longer
