The house was inaugurated with the Governors consent and proclamation, the 14 lawmakers absconded because they were not happy with the inauguration which they were were absent but communicated (case study Saraki vs NASS 2015). That could not get them to elect Oshiomole's cabal as speaker.

They decided to not attend plenary again to be sworn in , the speaker deemed it fit to declare their seats vacant as allowed in the constitution after 181days of not representing their people..

You’re twisting the story that is on public domain. The house was inaugurated in the middle of the night with just 10 members.
When the NASS ask Obaseki to re-inaugurate the house what stopped him for over a year?
APC sent 2 committees to Edo to resolve the issues but same Obaseki refused to meet with them.
What about the destruction of properties of those that are not in his camp?
Remember how he went to use trucks to block the streets that leads to Oshiomhole’s house in GRA.
His deputy’s petition and press conference at Abuja asking the IGP to arrest Oshiomhole?
Asking Oshiomhole to always seek for his permission before coming into the state.
And the last one plotting and celebrating the removal of Oshiomole by a FCT high court.
Obaseki didn’t have good advisers and now he’s facing the repercussions of his actions.

It seems you’re trying to be economical with the truth. Oshiomhole never allowed a NASS leadership that’s against the wish of PMB to emerge. When that happened in 2015, we saw the rancour that existed between the Executive and Legislature. Thus, PMB personally picked and endorsed the leadership of the 9th assembly, for a harmonious working relationship. The same principle operates at the state level. Governors had their Houses of Assembly under their control. Oshiomhole wants to control and dictate the leadership of the Edo House of Assembly that will work with Obaseki, and it’s something no Governor will accept, not even Oshiomhole himself. Oshiomhole wouldn’t have allowed Oyegun as the a National Chairman of APC to pick the leadership of the Edo Assembly while he was the sitting Governor. So, why does he want to force his boys to lead the Assembly under Obaseki? The late night proclamation and inauguration of the House was done to outsmart Oshiomhole from controlling the House. You don’t expect Obaseki to fold his hands and watch Oshiomhole scheme him out of place, he needed to fight. If Oshiomhole had nothing sinister about controlling the House, he should have allowed his men to go and be sworn in, but because his intention was to control the House so as to control Obaseki, he refused to allow them get sworn in. A fresh proclamation would have meant allowing Oshiomhole boys to control things. This whole thing is politics and everybody is using the best tactics available to him to stay relevant. So, don’t make Obaseki look more guilty than Oshiomhole is. Everybody is fighting for his political survival. Remember, Amaechi had to close down the Rivers House of Assembly and even the courts when he was fighting for political survival against Wike and Patience, otherwise, they would have removed him before 2015. Just watch the fight, see the moves and watch who gets the upper hand eventually. This is politics in Nigeria
