Another rape and murder case has been recorded in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state.

This brings the recent rape and murder cases in the area to 3 within 13 days.

The first case was an 18-year-old Barakat Bello, the second is Azeezat Somuyiwa, a pregnant woman who was killed on June 5 in the same local government.

This Saturday, a student of Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, name Grace Oshiagwu, has been reportedly raped to death by yet to be identified criminal elements at her parent’s residence in Idi Ori Sasa, Ojoo, Ibadan.

One of the Honorable members representing Akinyele state constituency, Hon. Ayo Fatokun confirmed the incident in a chat with Noble FM's correspondent, Micheal Oladejo with the claim that the police are on top of the situation.

Earlier today, the Oyo State Police Command, said it has arrested a suspect linked with the murder of Azeezat Somuyiwa, a pregnant woman who was killed on June 5 in Ibadan.
