The Presidency has not done well for the country, and that is quite obvious. However, it will be bias to limit the failure in Nigeria governance to just that section of Nigerian government. Rather, the whole 'greedy' souls in human body who are in the corridor of power have failed us, the masses. To make my assertion clearer, the Federal Govt.(the executive), the State Govt., the Local Govt., the Legislators, the judiciary, and other government agencies have all failed the country, Nigeria.

Seeing the Northern leaders hold the presidency responsible for the insecurity happening in the Northern region of the country is quite disheartening. I mean, there is a reason for the establishment of an autonomous state government and by extension, Local government. This is to make sure that each state's security, development and governance is being handled by decent individuals who will be compassionate about the welfare of their people. Although, the FG - who is responsible for issue of emergencies in the country - have their own part to play too, but just to complement the efforts of the state and local government. Basically, the FG is the apex government that is saddled with the responsibility of checking and balancing the conducts of the regional and sub-regional governments. But the regional and sub-regional governments have to take care of their entities first. That's their priority.

However, the negligence of Northern leaders on what their responsibility is on all grounds, and most importantly on security, has cost the region spontaneously. And if u may agree with me, the way Governor Ganduje has been reacting and acting on the issue of COVID-19 in Kano state tells it all. Aside from that, to further show how the Northern leaders are mostly irresponsible and irresponsive to their own problems, the influx of Almanjiris in the northern part of the country cannot be push out of the window. But instead of admitting their lack of being responsible and responsive towards the issues emanating from their societies is the reason why they are where they are today; rather, they chose to faults the presidency that has already loads of faults in its coffers.

In conclusion, my deep questions to the Northern leaders are: what have they done in their regions to reduce the security vulnerability - maybe with the state policing? If the president hasn't come from their region would they react the same? Are they saying the president has failed them because he's from North, and not because he presides over the entire country - which consists of other ethnic groups like Yoruba, Igbo, among others? In ending the insecurity issue in the region, what strategy have they map out? Have they ever suggested solution the president that he refused to do? We had issues of militancy in the south-south region for a very long time, why were they mute? I believe their answers to these few questions would enlighten us on why the Northern governors have called out the president.
