Ever since Pst. Chukwuemeka Odumeje came into the limelight in 2017 after raising a girl from the dead in his church in Anambra state, he has been trending in different ways, and in this year 2020, Odumeje has grown in fame as he has become a fan favorite on the social media all over Africa. Here are 10 facts you probably don't know about Odumeje.

Odumeje's theatrics on the stage, his ideology on what Christianity is all about and his pattern of preaching, has never been seen anywhere in the world before: Odumeje has been known to come up to his pulpit like a wrestler and he does his miracles in a manner never seen before. Odumeje has also been known to throw money around like at weddings. Everything about him is like what you see in the movies, that's one of the things that draw his fans to him.

Odumeje goes around with 10 bodyguards at all times: Rumours have been going around over the years that Odumeje goes around with bodyguards and bouncers because of the shady businesses he got himself involved in, but although these rumors have never been confirmed, Odumeje never goes anywhere without his bodyguards, whether inside the church or any event he is invited to. He sometimes adds the Nigerian police to his detail to beef up his security.

Odumeje is friends with top Nigerian celebrities: Odumeje's fame over the years has drawn top celebrities especially those from the movie industry to him. He has been seen on numerous occasions both in his church and events with top celebrities like Zubby Micheal, Don Brymo, Yul Edochie, Mercy Aigbe, Jerry Amilo, Harry B, Ik Ogbonna Etc. Even billionaires like Arthur Eze has not been exempted. Some of the celebrities have been accused of seeking Odumeje for supernatural powers and fame, they all debunked the rumors though.

Odumeje started his ministry from scratch: Odumeje started his church in a public yard in the city of Onitsha in the year 2000 and grew it into a 20,000 capacity church. His fame grew in 2017 when he performed the miracle of raising a girl from the dead in front of his church. That single act became the talk of the town and drew more miracle seekers to his church. His on-stage theatrics and the numerous names he calls himself have made him the most talked-about pastor in Africa today.

Odumeje is a professional musician and songwriter: Odumeje has released many popular songs over the years with the song titled "odumeje" being the most popular. He lightens up events with his songs on numerous occasions and has featured musicians like Harry B Anyanwu in his songs. Odumeje has said on numerous occasions that he prefers to be called a "hypeman" rather than a musician and truth be told, the man lives up to his name.

Odumeje challenges native doctors for fun: In 2019, Odumeje challenged a powerful native doctor in southeast Nigeria for an open contest on who can successfully raise someone from the dead. In April this year, he insulted the memory of a prominent late native doctor in Nigeria called "Pericoma" who is the father of the superstar artist "Speed Darlington" and challenged his first son who took over from his father as a native doctor to a contest. Alibaba is Odumeje's no. 1 critic: Odumeje has been criticized by Nigerians on numerous occasions on all social media platforms, but his no. 1 critic is the richest comedian in Nigeria "Alibaba". In April this year, Alibaba posted on his Instagram page that CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria) should ban and penalize pastors like Odumeje, who tarnish Christianity with fake prophecies and promises. This happened after Odumeje made a viral video of the prophecy he got from God that COVID 19 will end before the end of April. CAN is yet to take any action though.

Odumeje made a prophecy on when the world will get ride of COVID 19: In the first week of April, in the heat of COVID 19 spread all over the world, Odumeje made a viral video on a prophecy he got from God on when COVID 19 will disappear from the face of the earth. But just like some other African pastors that made the same prophecy, it turned out to be fake as the world is still battling with COVID 19.

Many people consider Odumeje a philanthropist: Odumeje is considered a philanthropist by many people especially his church members, he doesn't hesitate to spread during his church services or any event he attends. He also shared food to people during the COVID 19 lockdowns. He owns many orphanages in southeast Nigeria and he shared money to the victims of the infamous fire outbreak in main market Onitsha.

Odumeje is happily married with kids: Can you believe it? the lion himself is a beloved father and husband. He has four kids and his wife is astonishingly beautiful. Odumeje has been married for 12 years without any form of scandal considering his social media lifestyle. He has successfully been able to keep his family out of social media.
