Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Kano state governor, on Monday threw his weight behind the decision of All Progressive Congress to disqualified Edo state governor, Chief Godwin Obaseki, from the forthcoming part primary.

Dr. Ganduje who spoke in Kano at a media parley with Journalist explained that what mattered at the moment is the legal implications of the likely outcome of the exercise.

Ganduje said that the Bayelsa example where the party won a clean election but lost it to opposition on point of legality at the law court is still fresh on the memory, adding that the party should not consciously walk into the same tight situation again.

According to Ganduje “as far as Edo is concerned, we are worried about the legality of our action. We believe the National headquarters of our party is doing all it takes to stay in the right course.

He added that “we are conscious of legal implications, we don’t want to overlook anything that will turns to be our albatross, the issue of Bayelsa state where we won an election and taken away is still fresh in our memory.“

He however expressed optimism that no matter what happened, the All Progressives Congress would win Edo state again .

Gov. Ganduje is a supporter of Asiwaju Tinubu for president and is the person who helped Oshiomole secure the judgement from kano high court that re-affirmed him as Apc chairman because of his in-law Gov Ajimobi former governor of Oyo state. As a reward for saving oshiomole, Gov Ajimobi was made deputy national chairman south of Apc. So he can never have anything good to say about obaseki.

Look everyone knows that ganduje's daughter is married to Ajimobi's son. El-Rufai's rift with Ganduje was that he helped oshiomole secure the judgement from kano. Ajimobi approached his in-law to help them secure a judgement from kano on the request from asiwaju. Ajimobi is one of asiwaju's loyalist and that's why he was given the deputy national chairman slot. Everyone knows that El-Rufai and kayode of ekiti are the ones really trying to remove oshiomole because of his closeness to asiwaju. Why did El-Rufai and Ganduje's rift come to the open after oshiomole secured the injunction from kano. The sanusi saga and almajari deportation to kaduna was just a smoke screen.
