Unfortunately they don't have a party platform to feature him in the contest .

We do not need politics of favoritism! There is nothing like betrayal in this case. The welfare of the people should be the priority of the government and Governor Obaseki has proven that he understands that and did exactly what is expected. He does not owe "Oshiomhole the thug and his cohorts," who were busy converting state resources to personal use. Imagine an "Agbero" celebrating the illegal acquisition of N1 billion as personal asset under his watch as governor of the state.

There are people in different political parties who don’t betray themselves. U can be in a different political party with ur father and respect him by principle.

He betrayed him.

Which record sir?

The ways you guys use the word ',betray' does not suggest you truly understand the meaning.

Anenih was the Chairman of PDP Board of Trustees and Mr Fix It for the PDP.

Oshiomole was in the ACN and he defeated the PDP under Anenih, Igbinedion, Osunbor etc.

So if you defeat your opponents in an election, that means you betray them?

jaxxy:

Lol keep deceiving urselves. He betrayed anenih. It’s on record till date.

Hired by people who feel they can undermine the hierarchy of a party and go away with it cos they feel they are well grounded. Bro Obaseki will become ex Governor very soon. Take it or accept it.

The sympathy growing for Obaseki is massive.
Oshiomole was once loved buy now so hated.
I can't wait to see the outcome of the election later

The political tango in Edo State is not as you guys assume.

Gov Obaseki didn't manage the situation very well. A little bit of humility and tact could have prevented his troubles.

Even decamping to the PDP may not solve the problems.
There are many politicians who have kept faith with the PDP through thin and thick for years, investing their resources and energy with the hope of clinching the party's ticket and the genuine belief that they would defeat Obaseki of the APC.

Few days to the Primaries, Obaseki now decamp to the PDP and you feel dashing him the Governorship ticket will not generate crisis within the PDP?

The APC will just capitalize on this, buy over the present frontline aspirants in the PDP by promising them Federal appointments (who will leave certainties of the FG appointments for the uncertainties of Obaseki's meagre compensation?) and they will either serve as internal moles in the PDP or rightly decamp to the APC, leaving Obaseki in the cold.

It doesn't matter. Power belongs to the people. Remember how Oshiomole reclaimed his mandate when he was rigged out?

It was the people that stood behind him.

The position of APC on the ballot paper gives them undue advantage to other political party especially considering our aged people.
Re: Pensioners, Teachers, Market Women Want Obaseki For Another Term - Group by oyatz(m): 11:54am On Jun 16, 2020
These situations are different ma.

The purchase of Governorship forms in the PDP has closed and the Primaries is already fixed for Saturday. Are you saying the winner of the primary should step down for Obaseki?

If Obaseki is serious about ending godfatherism, the most appropriate thing for him is to join and support whoever wins the PDP ticket and not to seek to be the PDP candidate. It is a potential pit fall for the PDP.

Depending on his desires, another alternative is to reconcile with the APC, withdraw from the APC Primaries and he can be compensated within the party. He has still contest for Governorship in the APC
and stand a good chance to emerge as a consesus candidate because he will only stay for 4 years ( like the Fayemi's case in Ekiti).

LET US FORGET UI NOW

BETWEEN OBASEKI AND BUHARI’s WAEC result WHICH IS BETTER ?

Please remind me again my brother

ALL OBASEKI NEEDS TO DO IS TO ASK HIS LAWYERS TO USE BUHARI’s result to judge his own - the court approved Buhari’s result and that is what Obaseki will submit and win any bull sh it case against him - FULL STOP

With what I have seen with Nigerian election and last Edo gubernatorial elections you cannot trust the masses. At each pooling booth a rep of the party stands few meters away, you thumb print, show them, then come for your 5k. Obaseki should not trust these people, everybody is ready to cash out, he should be very sure before he venture into it otherwise keep your looted funds and prepare for EFCC incase your books are not clean.

Oshomole was not a Governor when he defeated Anenih political machine in Edo State

Oshomole was broke when he defeated the Anenih political machine in Edo State

Oshomole’s was not a member of the ruling party at the Federal level when he defeated the Anenih political machine in Edo State

all he needed to win was the support of the people and these same people will remind him in september that “HE CAN NOT TAKE THEM FOR A RIDE” - watch out!

If you smoke,I don't.the igbinedions supported ize iyamu to support oshiomhole and they worked against anenih.they provided damaging evidence at the tribunal.the earlier you accept that obaseki has lost, the better

No more SSCE as qualifications for Governor's position..

Obaseki won't even be on the ballot to start with

It's obvious you and your cohorts are afraid of him being on the ballot. That's why you and your goons are hell bent on doing everything to avoid him getting to the ballot, the more reason you are spreading this disgusting, disgracing and Ignorant propaganda.

There's no.law yet in Nigeria baning him from contesting with his O'level, untill then please stop exposing how intellectually empty, myopic and bias you are.

Based even on the terrible precedent set by the DULLARD whom you support, to hat you need is attending secondary school, the Constitution was silent on even the grades required.

Untill a law is accented to, which even if Buhari does today, will not affect Edo and ONDO elections as INEC has made preparations and guidelines and rules based on existing laws.

Go on, finish what you losers have started in Obaseki's life.

Whenever I discuss with Edo people all they keep saying is Oshiomole own don too much.

Edo state nor get money to share to people that don't know the value of money. Kabaka is so rich that he is wasting money on lions, gorillas and monkeys.

These are the same people oshiomOle want Obaseki to settle. With our chonchonron money wey nor reach anything na e people wan make den share to take buy more monkeys.

If Obaseki is smart this is the time to open the murdered case of Kabaka n his cronies.
