I have doubts on the number of fatalities,
Our neighbours ghana with close to 13,000 cases recorded only 66 deaths while we're counting close to 500 deaths with 17,700 cases?
Something is wrong somewhere but time shall tell!

Is south africa not our neighbor too, ? Go check their death go check egypts own too

Yet some people will still tell you, it is all lies, have you seen or do you know anyone who know someone that has been killed by corona virus?
Is this set of people that leave in our midst that I fear more than the virus. Some even get angry when you refused to shake them the normal way.

God bless you my brother.
They are even the suppose Educated people .
May the Lord save us.

[Total Confirmed Cases (TCC); Total Recovered Cases (TRC); Total Death Cases (TDC); and, Total Active Cases (TAC)]

TCC = 17,735 | TRC = 5,967 | TDC = 469

To get TAC;

TCC - TRC + TDC

= 17,735 - (5,967 + 469)
= 17,735 - 6,436

TAC = 11,299

It's almost 4 months now, and our TAC is 11,299. Wow! That's mind-blowing.

From the time we had the first case in Nigeria, every single individual who believes in the existence of the virus, speculated on how the virus would spontaneously overwhelm Nigeria in few months to come. Now, the month of June, 2020, is moving towards an end and our TAC is currently pegged at 11,299. To some extent, with our undernourished healthcare systems, we have done really well. Considering the U.S. situation - where they have the best of the best healthcare systems but are still overwhelmed, soaked by the virus, we can really credit the situation here - in Nigeria.

With this feat, if the Nigerian government reconsiders another lockdown, then I can boldly say we have a clueless, selfish govt. (I have already been saying that lately though). I wonder, and ponder, on how long an irresponsible and irresponsive Nigerian government could keep its hungry, angry subjects on lockdown. Definitely not for long, because they don't have the empathy and generosity to fill the gabs - meeting the needs of their subjects to a bearable extent. When this can't be put in place by the govt, the subjects won't take 'lockdown' as a place - perhaps, a place of assured safety.

[Our income isn't what we really earn, but what we have after deducting spendings from what we earn. That's what defines what we really are.]

The govt can't continue to react on the spike in new cases alone, without giving due consideration to the number of recovered cases, and death. COVID-19 isn't a death sentence, and I don't think it should be treated as such. Reconsidering another lockdown in the country is a typical fact of making the virus seem like a death sentence. Lockdown is really not a solution, but a problem to complement another problem. Lockdown is never a solution, the plan to move on (with the virus) is.

In a fierce war, if you hide and still get killed, what's your gain?

I just hope it won't be too late for many people before they start taking this Covid-19 seriously. I know about 100 people who have it and 2 deaths so far. Luckily for me, I got tested after some people around me tested positive. After being tested, my result came out negative. The annoying thing was, It took about a week before I got my result, dunno may be they gave them quota of how many tests to do per day or something. The earliest time result came out for others was after 2 days. Now imagine you have the virus and it's serious due to one underlining ailment, which hospital will treat you before you get ur result??

Dexamethasone has been approved by WHO so corona is a done deal.

Don't rejoice yet. Its for very critical cases of COVID in severe respiratory distress. Dexa does not work always. It has great limitations!! It is a steroid and has been in use for long. Its no new drug.

i think you may have missed my point. He attributed the the low that rate of Ghana to their hot weather condition, I was only wondering why it’s not so in the case of Kano

This is becoming so scary...

I think there should be a contingency plan for this, cause if the government enforces another lockdown, it still won't be as effective as people still ve to eat.

I appreciate FCMB for all they ve done and still doing, feeding needy Nigerians is really a huge step into containing the pandemic.
