valentineuwakwe:
Micheal Akinleye, Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado Ekiti Local Government, has threatened legal action against the appointment of Abiola Ajimobi as Acting National Chairman.

This was contained in a letter on Wednesday to the National Working Committee (NWC) through his counsel, Tunde Oke.

He called the NWC’s appointment of the former Oyo State Governor as “outright nullity and contempt of court”.

Akinleye reminded the NWC that there is a pending case with suit No. FHC/AD/CS/8/2020 before the Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti.

He said the suit prayed against any nomination of anyone to fill the Deputy National Chairman position Ajimobi holds and that the case was ongoing

Among others reliefs, the suit prayed that the office should be filled in accordance with Article 20 of the All Progressive Congress Constitution 2014 (as amended).

Akinleye’s lawyer noted that until the case is determined, Ajimobi’s appointment as Deputy National Chairman (South), and now as Acting National Chairman of the party is a nullity.

The party chairman said it is on record that “all the processes filed in the suit have been served on all the parties which serves as notice to maintain status quo pending the determination of the suit”.

The letter recalled that, “at the time when the suit was instituted by our Client, Ajimobi’s name had not been purportedly recognised by the National Working Committee of APC”.

However, during the pendency of the Suit when appearance had been entered for all the Defendants, our attention was drawn to several newspaper publications that the National Working Committee of APC has announced Sen. Abiola Ajimobi’s name as the Deputy National Chairman (South).”

APC had stated that his appointment received the support of five of the Six South West states of Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun and Lagos and that only Ekiti protested the nomination.

Meanwhile, the party has appointed Hilliard Etta to act as the Acting National Chairman on behalf of Ajimobi, who has been away from the public over health issues.

NIGERIANS WHO WERE THINKING THAT APC CRISIS WILL ENDS ONLY IN EDO STATE should now be having a re-think.

APC CRISIS will end up destroying the party and denying them the Presidency come 2023 because they do not want to follow constitutional provisions in their conduct of the official business of the party.

AMBODE will be laughing at TINUBU and saying "DID I NOT WARN YOU "

APC party leaders were decieved by Oshiomole talking rhetorics and oratory power which he used to convinced and eventually confused them.

OJEZUA, OBASEKI, FINTIRI and many more were warning the party leadership but they refuse to listen or see the HANDWRITING ON THE WALL.

Buhari is happy to go away leaving the party in shamble as he has gotten the office he was looking for.

Buhari do not care about the future of the APC.

BUHARI CHARACTER AND MANNER HE REACTED TO EVENTS IN Edo state, Bayelsa, Zamfara, Rivers state CAN TESTIFY to his antics about the future of the party.

IT IS TINUBU that is even at a lose.

APC will end up not having candidates in Edo. If they do and win, may lose in court. If care isn't taken, same will be extrapolated to ondo.

These litigations are reasons Obaseki should distance himself from APC for now

you are very right. since president does not care about Apc leadership, different interest groups are trying to hijack party leadership. obaseki is just a secondary interest. even if obaseki contests and wins under pdp, struggle for control of party leadership will still continue. Apc is now rudderless.

The same that happened to Oshiomhole.
