LASG needs to include re-construction and repair of drainages in their forthcoming Budget. Placed over roads sef or we will soon start buying not just face masks but Life jackets!

See the people above me acting as if this just happened today. undecided

When the drainage systems are full of plastic bottles and food wrappers why won't the area be flooded?

3/4 of Igbo people survive in Lagos State. Some can not even go back to their village anymore. Yet they will still be talking rubbish concerning Lagos State and Yoruba race....

Marleek:

Where exactly did you get your points from?

1.With adequate planning, Lagos can be saved from flooding.
2.Lagos is not seated below sea level.
3.Less than 50% of its land were reclaimed.

In fact, all your points are invalid, the problem Lagos has is with the drains and public waste disposal. The drains are too shallow. Netherland is a country below sea level and they found a solution to their problem. They built a lot of water channels, canals and dykes. So if Lagos is indeed serious about tackling flooding, let them follow the Dutchs footsteps.

Attached are pictures if water tunnels in the US. Compare it with what we have in Lagos.
The difference is clear.

Thanks for showing the falsehood in his statements. I read it and was just shaking my head.

mega city, commercial and industrial hub of the nation gringrin

Lagos State is the most glorified slum on Earth.

Dirty roads, agberos, rogue thieving lastma..vio...police..., danfo emitting smoke, over population, low quality of life, dirty roads, dirty gutters, TRAFFIC that lasts 3 hours for a 30 minute journey.

So what exactly is so beautiful about Lagos ?

When it rains in Lagos, just pray God sends you Noah's ark.
