Take a look at Articles 6 (1), 7 (2) (g), 11 (1) & (2), and 50 (2), (4) of PDP ... a non-member of the party can no longer at this stage be allowed to register as a member and contest the year 2020 Governorship Election in Edo State under the platform of the PDP...

Articles 8 (4), (5), (6) and (10) as well as Article 50 (4), (5) (b) of PDP Constitution, says no one can register as a party member after registration has been closed pursuant to its scheduled Primaries, proceed to purportedly register Obaseki as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party is therefore a sham!!

fergie001:

By extending sales of forms?

I am looking at their Constitution now ...can't find it! Can you help me?

This isn't the first time any of the two parties will do this....but for clarity sake, will like to know.

Seems you are an APC
villeanns:
I have been saying it that the desperation of Govr. Obaseki he might end up not participating in this election, that was before APC disqualified him.

After which he pitched tentacle with PDP and their national body pickets him to cough out 6billion naira and I said again that with this desperation he might not be cleared by PDP because you screen this guy since last week Friday and uptil now as we speak you haven't cleared him whether qualified to contest or not.

OK, PDP continues to milk the guy dry by making it looks like giving him an easy ride by comparing other aspirants to stepping down for him, to create more avenues for him to cough out more money.

What's the end result?
Why waiting for clearance from the screening exercise a COURT ORDER LANDED FROM GOVR. WIKE'S backyard "PORT HAR COURT" RESTRAINING the same GOVR. OBASEKI the desperate man from participating in the primary.

I can never trust GOV. Wike of rivers state that guy na crook that can turn the table against you once he gets the opportunity and this is a perfect one for him and he cashed it out. grin grin

Remember Fmr. Govr. Amechi nominated Govr. Wike as minister then after serving in the capacity of chief of staff, only to get to abuja and pitched tent with Mama Peace to start dealing with Gov. Amechi and then took over the state with federal myths.

They are the root cause of GEJ failure and some people can't give cognate analysis reasons been that they are myopic, not abreast with reality on ground or been deceptive fellows who likes to push an ignorant persons from frying pan to fire.

OK, thank you PDP for the game well orchestrated. Mind you Govr. Obaseki is a bad market whether you like it or not. Because he is not ready to travel the road to success "because he is full of pride and power drunk" thinking those that made him Governor 3yrs ago are fools.

Nobody will want to associate with an ingratitude personality like him. Even President Donald Trump have godfathers not just one or two, arrays of godfathers both home and abroad those he listens and take one or two advise from. But in this guy case reverse is the case.

PDP arranged this trap to deal with the Governor after all na our yam make we collect small.

FHC sitting in Port Harcourt has restrained Governor Godwin Obaseki from participating in the PDP guber primary. The suit was instituted by an aspirant Omoregir Ogbeide-Ihiama asking the court to stop the governor who just decamped to the party from participating in the primaries.

Fear who no fear Nigerian politicians and judiciary

Details later.
grin grin grin grin
. 1 Why did the court give the order when the judge knew the case would be finally determined a day before election? What is the relevance of maintaining the status cope when a temporary order has been given ? 2 Primary election is a party affair but due process must be followed. Faleke vrs APC. However whoever the party declared as winner must take party in the primary processes as follow: 1 purchase of nomination form. 2 screening process 3 taking party in the election. The questions are 1 Did Obaseki obtain the nomination form? Answer is NO The purchase of nomination form has closed already.. It is however not clear if somebody else's form is given to him or the party issued a form for him at the back 2 Did Obaseki take part in the screening ? NO The party has concluded the screening already.A carry go screening was arranged for him later. How he got a nomination form which qualified him for the screening will be explained by the party. Conclusion : The petitioner has a good case challenging the processes of the participation of Obaseki in the election especially when the nomination form and screening have closed. In my opinion Obaseki did not did not undertake due processes leading to his emergence as a PDP contestant..A party must have internal democracy it claims it stands for..APC vrs Marafa Additionally INEC is not involved in the primary election .It is a party affair but INEC is an observer. Also any party that did not submit the name of his flag bearer withing the INEC stipulated time will not take part in the election.INEC reserves the right to do so APC vrs INEC in zamfara. fergie001. senatordave1

PDP has been using the court to frustrate APC starting from Rivers to Zamfara and now Edo. If APC decides to learn from PDP’s playbook, so be it. Two can play the game.

Looking at the rate that the court now issues interim Injunction and exparte order over purely party matters, nobody will be able to contest election again. It is now left for the judiciary to put its house in order and save our democracy from total collapse.

Looking at the last paragraph, I can recall wat falana said few months ago during bayelsa and Imo power tussle he said the same thing u analysed on the last paragraph, our lawmakers need to enact Law that will restrain the judiciary from inter-party activities.
