YouTuber, Edwin Sarkissian, is famous for his gun videos.

This time in his new video, Edwin Sarkissian tested a bulletproof vest.

The bulletproof vest was specially developed by Safe Life Defense, described as the world’s first 50 caliber bulletproof vest.

Ceramic and other confidential materials were used to deveop the vest instead of steel in bulletproof vests.

This makes the vest much lighter than it should be.

In the video he published, Sarkissian first shared how the bulletproof vest stands on himself.

He then placed the bulletproof vest on a table installed in the open range, he also placed a 9inches concrete brick and a wooden block inside the vest.

The concrete block and wooden block were placed under the armour in order to understand the effect of the vest and impact of the bullet after it hit.

He fired at 20 meters from the vest with the semi-automatic sniper rifle Serbu BFG-50, which used 50-caliber bullets after placing the bulletproof vest on the table.

Checking the impact, the bullet didn't pierce through the vest but the concrete block inside broke into pieces.


Sarkissian says that if the vest is placed on someone instead of the brick and exposed to the shot, the human chest, rib cage can be broken.

Headshot from long range is not that simple as we see in movies, most especially a moving target.

Primary objective is to kill, they go for the easiest spot.

Isn’t the whole stunt a waste of time? Considering the fact that the person who is shot will still die from the impact.

Giving it a second thought, snipers don’t shoot from a close range, maybe if the distance between the target and the sniper is far then there’s a possibility of survival.

It seems the armour is designed to protect itself rather than the wearer

First, what's essence of stopping the bullet, if it's gonna damage the ribs and implode the internal organs? Looks like a slower and more painful way to die.
Why not just die the death, and leave the rest for the living?

By the way, I thought the momentum of the bullet should've thrown the block or at least shifted it.

That bullet proof wont save anybody if shot with that gun.

The force alone will rupture organs and shatter blows even if the bullet doesnt penetrate.
