You should restrict yourself to speaking for yourself alone. that you are clueless does not necessarily mean everyone else is.

If i am the president of Nigeria?

(1) I will work hard to provide civil security in the nation.
To do this now, considering the gravity of the decadence
of security in the country today, requires drastic measures.
Such measure could be total militarization of the populace.
That is instead of nysc scheme, all youths male and female
18yrs and above should be conscripted into national peace
restoration forces for 2yrs. Graduates of higher institution
can serve 1-2yrs in the army before pursuing their career.

Uneducated youth while in the force will learn trade that will
help him or her in civil life later. This action will reduce unemployed
among  the  youth populations. The organized force will provide opportunities
for many to learn about rights and wrongs. And their constitutional
rights too.

A total militarised populace with basic military proficiencies training
will ensured that all groups are protected. And any possible mischief architect
will have no illusions about the possible out come of violating others security.

So in other words, since it is impossible to disarm the nation, we might as well
go ahead and arm everybody legally by training all able people in the arm-forces.
This action will demystify the forces,by letting everybody into it. The issues
of armed-forces intimidation's will be curtained.

Not knowing, if a potential victim is armed will minimized armed truancy's.
Veterans of the programs could join the para-military/civil forces like police,
custom, immigr. etc, later. Order than security interest, the conscripts will
be engaged to provide, and produce national needs in agric and industries.
Bridges and roads building and maintenance etc.

The forces will be decentralized, and stationed in each states as national guards
and reserves, under the governors with federal over-sight.

I am not like you, who stays in the West. I actually live in Nigeria. The only reason why I am in the U.S. is, because of my education.
Re: If You Were President by amazonia(m): 7:33am On Jan 30, 2011
In addition to the above benefits, the potential of every one of three or four people could
be an armed-forces member or brother, sister,or parent of one will help to check police crimes.
Like bribes and extortions demands. Police and others will wake up because, their next bribe
could be their last .

All these are stories that touches the heart. The odds are that an average Nigerian would go same is not worse than wat our political leaders are doing now. It take an extra deligent man to make a difference in this country of ours.

A sovereign National conference is the only way forward for Nigeria. Any president who refuses to do it is merely kicking the ball down the road. Someone will still have to deal with it someday, otherwise Nigeria will eventually disintegrate as predicted by some foreign powers.
If I was the president of Nigeria, that would be my first agenda.
