Emeka Chugbo was taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital on Monday with "severe symptoms" and died on Wednesday, according to the hospital.

There were indications that the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, has died of COVID-19 on Thursday.

Members of staff at his Crown Hospital at Oja Oshodi, Akure, the state capital, were seen crying and the neighbours to were lamenting the sudden death of the commissioner.
