Southwest Muslim organization known as "Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen" write an appeal letter on their Facebook page to Bola Ahmed Tinubu On replacement for late senator Lagos East Dhikrullahi Bayo Oshinowo.

In a pluralized society like ours and in a situation where a sensitive matter has to be looked upon before taking a final decision, "Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen" South West chapter appeal to the National Leader of APC in Lagos state, "Bola Ahmed Tinubu" to please look into the replacement of Christian candidate to fill the vacant seat left by Late senator "Bayo Oshinowo

Prior to his death, he was the only Muslim out of the three senators representing the entire Lagos State and replacing him with another Christian candidate, it is not only unjustified to Muslims, but the decision will portray the entire Muslim in Lagos State as useless body.  

The fact is, we are in a society where religion has entered into politics and governance. Likewise, we must remember that the myth of the secular Nigerian state that purports to separate the institutions of religion from those of the government has failed to translate into reality. So, when we are making decision, we must never forget the religious angle. 

To us, it would be an injustice if the seat left by late senator Bayo Oshilowo, the only Muslim among the three senators representing Lagos State, cannot be replaced by another Muslim.

You can remember vividly that I wrote an article yesterday that APC May lose Lagos West senatorial By-Election to PDP with three major reasons. which makes some people expressed their feeling about this issue.

We urge APC leaders to consider the appealing of this Muslim organization from southwest in order to avoid losing of this election to opposition party.
