Nigeria is in commotion and all forecasts point towards more turbulence ahead. so much of what we read these days is discomforting, even rattling. May we find refuge from the storm, a haven of hope.
I get sad each day I wake up and I'm still stuck here. The World should open its borders already. Nwa Nsukka asadu is tired AF

Lagos Island is an hub of Sick buildings on a poor soil without proper consultations before construction...
LASBCA needs to focus on that axis well...

Go and look for work, those you're hoping to part with their hard-earned money choose to work; therefore if you're able bodied, there's no excuse.

Even the disabled chooses to earn his decent wage.

There's dignity in labour.

This 2020 is something else. Most of the buildings on Island are old.

There are 500yrs old buildings in other countries that are still standing strong. We just have wack civil n building engineers overhere.

Lagos soil is weak , normally any thing More than two storeys should not be allowed in a place like lagos. Another issue is those buildings are usually overcrowded with heavy furnitures, thereby making the building too heavy for the soil to carry.

Why always Lagos Island. After they've borrowed lands from water.

The truth be told that most of the houses on Lagos Island have weak structures and the Govt seems indifferent because of the powerful force within.

Even if it is old, it is not a reason to fall. In Western countries, there are very old buildings and structures that are still standing. When you go to New York you see the skyscrapers, you think these are new structures ?? NO it is very old buildings, but very well constructed and often renovated, this is what is missing in our African countries. cool cool cool
