That idea that someone has the call of God in his or her life is one borne out of ignorance even though it's quite common. You must have heard the saying "many are called but few are chosen", the "many" implied here is everyone, so the truth is that the call of God is in everyone's life. When God is calling out to everyone and asking "whom shall I send and who shall go before us?", and waiting for who would respond to His call, some are still waiting for God to call them. Isaiah 6:8 Do not wait for God to specifically call you but respond to His call and say with all of your heart, "here I am, send me" as prophet Isaiah did or "what would you have me do" as Paul did or even answer His call your own unique way. And in no time He would answer your call.
