I understand it. I know women with a very similar story and for the same reason, they traveled to meet, to help the Nigerian friend or beloved (not all are about sex and marriage, some just want to help to such a nice guy) and ended up badly used, mistreated, drugged, poisoned and even killed, scared. This kind of guys like in this story are criminals with no heart, all they care are drugs, parties, drinking and many women.
