Var is a pile of baloney
Re: VAR: What Famous Coaches Think by Angelfrost(m): 4:19pm On Jul 13, 2020
Well, for me... VAR has been long overdue, and must remain in order for football to be fair to all.

That said, the system must be fine tuned and perfected. It has to be completely void of human bias, which is where some of these current complaints seem to be arising from.

For this to work efficiently, the rules of the game must be compulsorily studied and understood by all: Referees, Managers, Players, even fans.

This will put an end to some bitching, especially these penalties calls... Let's see if some teams and players will finally be given a break. grin

...And, for fvck sake, review those moronic Offside and Handball rules or offenses. Juventus lost that Atalanta game clearly!!! Mtchewww.

The reason for initiating VAR is positive but stands to kill some fun elements of the game during the match and after. All the arguments that make the game exciting like a player playing in an offside position, free kick or penalty decision for balls on the edge of the line are arguments we have until the second leg for vengeance and honestly its fun.

VAR should have been limited to goal-line technology as that is a decision both sides of the team want to know the outcome.

VAR or no VAR English refs are worst decision makers. Who remembered Graham Pool?
Re: VAR: What Famous Coaches Think by wman(m): 4:27pm On Jul 13, 2020
The problem is the Refs in charge of VAR. The technology is okay. It's just the poor way English refs are using it.

The officiating in the English Premier League is getting worse with time. Something needs to be done. Same faces every time. Same Mike Dean, Michael Oliver, Jon Moss, Martin Atkinson, Craig Pawson and others.

They need to have periodic evaluations for them and demote them for consistent mistakes.

VAR introduction itself to football is good, but humans still gat the abilities to influence bad judgement... Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United have been highly favored by VAR this season....

Therefore it's safe to say this teams are always playing 12 against 11 every time they step into the pitch...

Fun you say??!... Well, it is all fun and banter, till titles are lost or teams relegated.

Maradona's 'Hand of God' has not been funny and forgiven for Old and young English football fans in over 3 decades. tongue

Please... Exceptionally gifted attacking teams will always get more penalty calls.

Where you expecting to see overtly defensive teams like Newcastle, Burnley, Brescia, Eibar, etc, getting more favorable "VAR penalty calls"??!

No body is talking about not giving them Penalties or not just because they are attacking more...
But if VAR still can't spot the errors, then it's totally useless...

VAR or no VAR, there is bound to always be heartbreaks.

City fans will not forget their champions league exit to spurs even after 3 decades.

Sceneros of this nature are the "beauty" of football.

You don't watch football, Man United alone has been awarded 13 penalties by VAR this season, and Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal has 12 penalties combined. VAR has robbed Liverpool more this season than any other team, like the hand ball against Christensen in the match against Chelsea which Pep was referring to in his comment above, the foul on Origi leading to Man United's goal at Old Trafford .
Furmino's goal was also wrongly cancelled for offside against Villa.

See them....haters.

You still mentioned Liverpool when Guarduola in his quote here above, said something that VAR decided against them.
They have won the league and there's nothing you and your hatred can do about it

VAR was against Liverpool than it favoured them, Man United alone has 13 penalties from VAR followed by Chelsea so how was Liverpool favoured.
