Amos Adamu's appeal against his 3 year ban has just been rejected by FIFA.
Fifa's appeals committee has upheld bans on two executive committee members who had suspensions imposed following the Sunday Times investigation into World Cup bidding.

Nigeria's Amos Adamu had appealed against a three-year ban imposed for corruption and Reynald Temarii, from Tahiti, had contested a one-year ban for breaching Fifa rules.

Fifa said in a statement: "The Fifa appeals committee, under the chairmanship of judge Larry Mussenden (Bermuda), has confirmed the decisions taken by the ethics committee on 17 November 2010 regarding the bans on Reynald Temarii and Amos Adamu – who were at the time Fifa vice-president and Fifa executive committee member – for a breach of the Fifa code of ethics."

Three former Fifa ethics committee members Slim Aloulou, Amadou Diakite and Ahongalu Fusimalohi, had their suspensions reduced but the decisions upheld.

First, I heard that the verdict won't be out until after two weeks but if this is true, it's great news.

If the EFCC prosecutes Adamu, then there is quite a long queue of currently serving ministers, governors and past (still living presidents) that towed the line with Adamu, they will need to be investigated as well.

Are you not aware that the same Federal Government that claims EFCC is on Ibori's trail also pressured the UK Government not to extradited him for trials grin You should know Nigeria by now.

NOW EFCC CAN GO FOR HIM AND ALL THE PROPERTIES HE HAS ACQUIRED SHOULD BE CONFISCATED. THE MAN HAS BEEN STEALING NIGERIA MONEY FOR YEARS. EVERYDAY FOR THE THIEF, BUT ONE DAY FOR THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE. EFCC, GO GET ADAMU. HE HAS NO EXCUSS AGAIN. PROBE HIS OFFICE FROM WHEN HE STARTED AS NFA HEAD ARROW, TILL DATE.

I am not surprise at Mr Adamu's insistence on "His hollier than the Pope" attitude. This, ofcourse is typical of most African Men.

We  love to dig into our own hole.

What is it with this man? Why can't he go and hide his face in shame. Fifa is not Nigeria where the guilty will become innocent after someone's hand has been greased. I wish it'll be possible for Fifa to prosecute him so he'll spend some time in jail. If only he knows the damage people like him had done to this nation.

Must you be cynical? since when did being CAF rep and FIFA exco member confer on one immunity from prosecution
Y'all must shed this garb of "we're all guilty, therefore don't probe anybody"

Who are you trying to mislead?you're referring to Aondoakaa's time and not Adoke's.In any case,it bears no correlation to Adamu's case
Re: Amos Adamu's Appeal Rejected By Fifa by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 7:25am On Feb 06, 2011
@rasputin, I was not being cynical, just sarcastic rhetoric. by all means he should be probed by EFCC and charged if found guilty, but are you also aware that big-wigs like OBJ and other members of the committee that gave adamu his powers during his embezzlement spree are also guilty and should be probed? will this clique of co-embezzlers allow such to happen?

Y'all must shed this garb of "we're all guilty, therefore don't probe anybody"

Ibori is GUILTY AS CHARGED but who was his Deputy during his tenure, is he free from EFCC probe?

If you're talking of Benjamin Elue, forget it.The man is a political nobody,Ibori effectively cut him out of his rackets throughout their 8-year tenure.Ogreedigbogreedygbo was more comfy with Uduaghan(then SSG after the ouster of Ighoyota Amori),and Utuama(current dep governor to Uduaghan and then attorney to Ibori, whose chambers was one of the channels Ibori used to fleece the coffers of DTSG dry

Benjamin Elue was just a yes man, doing follow follow
