MIKEL ARTETA has insisted that Arsenal will still be able to attract top quality players despite the club on the verge of missing out on European football.

The Gunners currently sit in ninth spot with just three games to play, and they could lose more ground on their rivals should they fail to beat Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Winning the FA Cup looks to be Arsenal’s best bet of sealing their passage into the Europa League, but with the North Londoners to face Manchester City in the semi-final, Arteta’s men will go into the match as huge underdogs.

But the Spaniard has stated that he is not worried about failing to bring in his targets, as he claimed that Arsenal will always be an attractive destination.

Asked whether the club will still be able to land key players without European football, Arteta said: “Yes.

“Because we’ve an incredible history, an incredible structure, in a beautiful city and a style of play that attracts players.

“I’m telling you now because when I am closer to the market now when I speak to people, a lot of players want to play for Arsenal.”

The Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates as he stalls on signing a new deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Partey, 27, is available for £45million due to a clause in his contract, leading Arsenal to potentially have to sell players in order to nab him.
