Legal moves by the House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole; Governor Gbenga Daniel; the governor’s political son, Mr. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka; Daniel’s deputy, Alhaja Salmot Makanjuola Badru and 35 others to stop the recognition of candidates loyal to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in respect of the 2011 general election in Ogun State yesterday suffered a major setback.

Isiaka and 38 others, including Dimeji, Daniel, Badru and Lola Abiola–Edewor, had approached a Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, to save their political career, but they had their hopes dashed.

bankole should use the power vested on him by the constitution and ask the INEC to allow reopen the submission
of names since they have already amend the the electoral act.   they should extend the summission of name by 1 week to allow people to change parties. if not the court system will have to many litigation.

And many elections would be cancelled after and if they do not extend the submission  of party candidate names by 1 week.

Party should have the right to change name, you have 3 month into the election , 1 week extension would not kill anybody.  and people should have the right to switch parties. It is like voter register. People come back to change mistake in thier names.

If a party says they dont want you , you go to another party. even Alliance for democracy AD has the same problem. koleosho group i think was suppose to summit  a list but another group . extending by 1 week clear all this and avoid the court system.
