The aim of FRSC has been defeated. Their primary aim is "Road Safety" and this duty is to be carried out on Federal Roads accross the country. But what we have today are a group of tax collectors stationed on the road and looking motorist to extort. Once you pay, it doesn't matter what rule you break, you are good to go. Also body camera should be introduced in ALL security outfits in the country. 28 Likes 1 Share |

Of course if you go against the rules, regulations and traffic laws while driving FRSC has every right to impound your vehicle 2 Likes 1 Share |

remsonik:FRSC (a federal agency) by law are ONLY supposed to function on FEDERAL ROADS. This ruling gives them a right to function on all roads, that is including state roads. I can't wait to see them CLASH with the state VIO who perform similar functions. Duplication of public services and enforcement. FRSC should be scrapped. VIO is enough and perform an all encompassing function than FRSC. VIO is sufficient. FRSC is just a waste of FG money 10 Likes |

They will misuse the power and grant bestowed on them. Watch as FRSC officers will be cashing out big time these days. They will end up searching phones and laptop like SARS. Bet it 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hope this doesn't give FRSC unlimited powers to impound vehicles just for the sake of it. Knowing Nigeria. Agencies and individuals are quick to abuse powers 2 Likes |

blowjohn:Sometimes its not about license, you can't ask a 50year old man for drivers license. Drivers licence serves majorly two purposes. One is to ascertain if an individual has attained the legal age to drive. Two is just a government identification system and a means of generating revenue. What we should be concerned about is transparency. Let them maintain safety of road users and then we give them thumbs up. 4 Likes 1 Share |
