Boss no discredit, no mention was made or Russia. Infact everyone is happy to have more than 2 or 3 sources as a single one cannnot manufacture enough doses to go around the world in a required timeline. Let everyone make the vaccines test it on their peoplé, then we can choose who to buy from [wquote author=PrimeWatermark post=91834251]Good Development! Let's get this done with. SenecaTheYonger:Try and understand the specifics of each situation before you comment on these issues, there are differences between both viruses and there are specific properties of HIV AIDS that makes it difficult to make a vaccine. There are many viral diseases with available vaccines(hepatitis, polio, measles, etc). If vaccines are not available for these diseases, pharmaceutical companies could even make more money from selling treatments that don't cure it 2 Likes |

If the world can find the vaccine to covid in less than a year, how come we still don't have vaccine for HIV? Is it because it mostly affects Africans? |

Toxay: Do you know how difficult it is to make a vaccine for coronavirus? I have been studying this virus for a while but the major problem was the fact that it mutates really fast rendering previous vaccines useless. That has been a challenge for decades. But now we have a vaccine. I know that HIVs vaccine is also challenging, but there will be a vaccine if it disrupted world economy thereby forcing every researcher to be on it |

frog12: No, still in phase 1 testing. Just testing on a small amount of volunteers. Should be in phase 2 next month. Modified....This article gives some more information. It should be noted that the Russian vaccine has undergone a 'phase 1 trial' which is basically testing the vaccine on a small number of volunteers. While they think they can release it into the market now...the fact is, they have to do a phase 2 and 3 trial ...phase 3 being most important...before they can say it has achieved success. 1 Like |

SarkinYarki: So Oxford and Cambridge scientists took a time machine to the past to kick off their vaccine research months ago, just to discredit vaccines being worked on by Russia? And only Russia, out of the hundreds of vaccines under trial? THis is what happens when your country cannot come up with a vaccine. You resort to frankly daft conspiracy theories. |

China where the disease originated from hasn't even dreamt of producing a cure but once this vaccine is out from this hard working nation the Chinese will be the first to go get it and begin to fake it up and down. And some persons will be calling China a "super power". |
