This rubbish. How could you call the series 9f slaps and punches on the man's head and neck as minimal degree of defence . Those officers too need to be sanctioned. The level of force was too much on that civilian. Road safety officials have become very corrupt and unbecoming in the discharge of their duties.

Abi ooh. The numerous blows to his head nko? They purposefully left out that part just to paint the man bad. Who knows what those blows did to his skull or maybe they ruptured a vein or something. Maybe from those blows, he may suffer aneurysm or any other head injuries.

I really wish he can sue them for those blows especially. Somebody's father being beaten like a common criminal.

The offender should face the full wrath of the law.

This defiant attitude is exhibited by a lot of tricycle, bus and taxi drivers in Benin City. They think acting unruly makes them get away with such offences.

You need to see how they disobey traffic lights, make u-turns at round-abouts, drive against traffic, stop right in the middle of the road to pick passengers.

Even if poverty dey nack you and you claim say you dey hustle, must you put other people's lives at risk?

God bless you. I saw the video and the narrative above by FRSC is very much different from what I saw in the video.
With the kind of beating the FRSC officer gave the unclad man in the video and the solidarity/sympathy they got from people around, this their narrative is very much unfair.

He should've been apprehended by relevant authorities and a mental assessment test conducted to ascertain his mental state.

Those officers need retraining.

Let us cast your mind back to the event which led to George Floyd's death.
* What if this man had died due to malhandling ?
* What if he suffers concussion or permanent brain damage?

Those 3 officers need to be disciplined or possibly dismissed from service
That is no way to treat a tax payer who pays your salary.
There are appropriate channels to deal with issues like this and I am sure their code of conduct does not support brutality.
