Why is my beloved country moving towards the part of self destruction?
At the early stage it was Ministry of Defence (Arms Deal), then Ministry of Health (NHIS scandal), later Ministry of Agriculture (seven billion uncompleted house bought), also don't let us forget the fraud in the Ministry of petroleum but we will not talk about that because our dear "Baba" (Mr Integrity) himself is the chief minister.
Every day we hear in the news of millions of naira spent on the refinary daily because our dear "Baba" promised us that Nigeria will now refine her own oil therefore no need for subsidy, because of this "Baba" removed subsidy in 2015 and increased petrol pump price, Nigerians take it in good faith because we believed that our Messiah has come and every action is for the betterment of the citizens yet till date Nigeria cannot refine her most essential oil and everyday we are told of billions paid daily as petrol subsidy despite the removal of the subsidy every year.
Furthermore, we should not forget quickly the Ministry of Justice (EFCC Magu and Malam's recovered loot that is said to have been re-looted) that we are yet to see the last scene of the movie. Let's now move to NDDC where our own Professor showed his acting skill to Nigerians and made us realize that not only Metuh, Dino and Maina can act. Though he didn't study theater art in school his acting surpassed that of Fayose.
According to the "script" our dear Honorable Minister was telling us that he does not approve contacts but payment is being awarded to contractors by his ministry. Now Ministry of labour and employment is about to start acting her own script fully and it will be directed by our man the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige and the board of NSITF. Sooner or later, when Corona virus ends we will see the mother of all scandal in Nigeria.
The greatest mistake we made as a nation is bringing into power governments who are insensitive to the plight of its citizens, they came into power promising Heaven on Earth yet they keep failing us. Insecurity has raised to its peak, name it; Banditry, Boko Haram, Southern Kaduna killing, Kidnapping e.t.c yet our so called almighty, perfect and hardworking service chiefs and other security agency assure us daily that they are working on it and that they are on top of the situation as usual.
Corruption is now the order of the day, new week new scandal and the most interesting part is the new scandal is usually greater than the former. In order to curb corruption, "Baba" authorised the Treasury Single Account (TSA) which our dear former Minister of Finance and the CBN took with all seriousness yet NDDC can proudly claim to have nothing less than 300 accounts as claimed by our dear Honorable Minister.
Favoritism and Nepotism is nothing new, as we all know that a particular section of the country has the best hand when it comes to governance while the others are not competent, all they are good for is to labour for the betterment of our beloved country and also defend her integrity.
My greatest pain is that by the end of this week, we Nigerians will not talk about the current situation going on, our Honorable Representatives would have become silent after its committee might have concluded it findings so that our hardworking government officials will not be distracted. Also, a vote of confidence will be passed on the government and solidarity visit by civil societies will be payed to necessary people to compensate them for a job well done.
Even our unrelenting men and women of the press will be working hard to bring the latest scandal to our hearing. They would have succeeded in giving us a new song to deal with which will now become our focus and everyone will forget about the ongoing drama because it has become an old story.
The worst part of it is that when our own person is there, we close eyes to their wrong doing but anyone from the other tribe or region are the ones that are corrupt. Then you will see the YWF( YOUTH WITHOUT FUTURE) part-taking in a solidarity relay for the people that are enslaving them just because of #2000. Nigerians will be quick to protest because America government killed an Iranian government official but will sit down and accept it as there fate when things are not going well in their beloved country even when thousands of Students who are on government scholarship are about to be deported due to non payment of their tutition fees.
Countries of the world are giving palliatives to mitigate the effects of the Corona virus pendemic on her citizens but my beloved country Nigeria promised us Stamp duty for your e-receipt and other bank deposits, electricity tariff hike, our beloved "Baba" also reduced the pump price because he loved his citizens but the price had to be returned to the normal price again. Even our Honorable Representatives (National Assembly members) were not left out they promise to pay the Electricity distribution Companies some amount for the sake of Nigerians but we never heard anything from them again expect the complain about those who asked them for money all the time and that they have already tried their best for Nigerians by sharing food in their respective constituencies.
The pendemic is so bad in Nigeria that our schools cannot be opened because we love our children so much and we want to protect them, so schools have to remain closed but their parents can attend political relays and meetings, even the political gladiators can travel far and near to canvas for vote because there is Corona virus immunity at our political gatherings.

Oh! my beloved country where art thou missed it?
