Because the government wants to collect more revenue so that they can have enough to share and steal amongst themselves.

Does it increase beyond 50 if the credit rises above a certain threshold?

You need start preparing for the revolution

You got it right, that is their aim, they are not satisfied with the ones they are looting already

Coronavirus has affected jobs, many tenants are ready to be evicted by their landlords/landladies.
Yet they want us to be paying stamp duty on rents. Actual money for rent sef , we never get.

Banks are already deducting this from our accounts. Very soon we would be paying stamp duty on foods we purchase now. May God help us.

Hmnnn, are these guys not discouraging people from using the banking system?

Has Nigeria become this desperate? If they've gone so broke then shouldn't they consider reducing the theiving lawmakers jumbo salaries and allowances alongside other politicians. Why give governors billions of naira secretly under the guise of security vote??

The Yorubas aided in bringing this satanic government to power.

The main reason why PDP lost power in 2015 was because they lost middle belt states like Kwara, Nassarawa and Benue

Which were lost due to internal division in the PDP branches there.

Had GEJ won those three states , he would have left power on may 29 2019. The Yoruba vote won't have mattered at all except in Kwara

Also taxes are going up because oil our major earner is not earning us enough money now. Even if GEJ had won in 2015 , we would have had to raise taxes. Oil has been falling since 2014, and we have had times when it was blow$30 per barrel, when we need it to be at least $100 per barrel because of our large population.

And no, this is not a defence of Buhari. Buhari even knows what to do to take us better economically but because it involves taking some politically unpopular decisions, he won't do it.

At a time when other countries are offering palliatives to jump start their economies our irresponsible revenue service is imposing tax burdens on helpless civilians.

Why not impose taxes on those luxury houses built by politicians that they don't rent out, impose property taxes on in used structures.

This move is irresponsible, it is against one of the canons of taxation which is fairness.

They forget people pay taxes out of revenue, increasing taxes during a period of revenue decline is anarchy.

Say no to multiple taxation with no apparent value to the public.

What nonsense are you saying? Crowdfunding for politicians to loot or are you part of those thieves?

0.78% isn't much to you but you will be amazed when you multiply that by number of tenants in Nigeria.

The Target is for the fund to be used for the greater good of us all.
Seek accountability but do not discourage Tax payment

WHAT IF THERE IS NO AGREEMENT BETWEEN ME AND MY LANDLORD, DO I STILL NEED TO PAY?
If there is no written or electronic agreement and you are a tenant at will or verbal agreement was entered into by the parties (landlord and tenant) you would most likely not pay stamp duty on the tenancy or lease.

Case close. No more pieces of paper.

In Nassarawa, PDP was divided between the then governor and the secretary to the government in Abuja. As such the party was in a weak state.

Kwara too had the same issue, then Saraki defected to APC, and gutted the pdp Kwara badly.

As for Benue,in addition to divisions, the 2015 election was a referendum on Suswam, not a vote for GEJ or Buhari.

Also, PDP made gains in the south west in 2015.
