Yankee101: This is why Ogun, Sango, Aiyelala and Esu Odara strike people. Which one did your looting PDP evil party refurbished? Mind you Ajaokuta-Itakpe-Warri railway was started over 30 years ago and was abandoned before Buhari completed it. There is nothing like refurbishing here because there was nothing on ground beside the master plan. You better stop this hatred and bitterness that has kept you unprogressive and in poverty for years. 2 Likes |

Maybe you're still a child and don't know that Ajaojuka used to get supplies of Iron ore from Itakpe via the same railway line Google is still your friend A 276km line with 254 completed before buhari ever campaigned to become president It is a 276-kilometres railway-line. The railway line is otherwise known as the Central Railway Line. The railway line was originally designed for the transportation of Iron Ore to Ajaokuta (Kogi) and Aladja steel Rolling mills (Delta State). It was also designed to transport processed steel to the port in Warri, Delta State The construction of the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri railway line was abandoned after about 254 kilometres had been constructed. In 2009, the construction of the Itakpe-Warri railway line was reactivated. The Goodluck Jonathan-led Federal Government approved N33bn for the redesign and completion of the remaining 22 kilometres. The contract for the construction of the railway line was awarded. It was awarded to Team Nigeria and Julius Berger PLC. The project was meant to be delivered in March 2013. RichBoy247: |

elvisco10: If you don’t know, please ask and do not Resort to insults that’s why Threads like this are created for educational purposes. Agbor is made up of a couple of kingdoms, I’m sure where you reside is Agbor Town and probably don’t know where this is. You have also heard of Agbor Railway complex in owa-oyibo area, it’s not in Agbor but it’s still named Agbor, same with Agbor village. Do you know Julius Berger had a big camp in Abavo, you must have seen their trucks often picking and dropping people in Agbor. The truth is, Julius Berger built this village and their staff lived here while they were working on the rail project on this route, this village, that have everything, hospital, recreational facilities et al was somewhat their operational - live in, village. When the project along this corridor was completed, this village- where they once lived was handed over to the federal government a couple of years back, I think in 2013. 2 Likes |

Yankee101: The lines were built under, I think, Abacha, to facilitate the evacuation of iron ore. The project here is the conversion of a dedicated cargo line to passenger traffic. That explains why the route doesn't link major transit corridors. Half bread is sha better than buns... |

IdowuRufai:For national integration the Calabar-lagos line should be built.a lot of rail infrastructure is concentrated in the north already. Thats why regions cry of marginalizeation.Ask urself why did fg build kaduna refinary and pump raw crude to be refined. Does it make any sense to transport and still refine cos the consumer price should be higher yet they did it.it becos of integration. 1 Like |
