First let me say this. I opened a thread two days ago and put in there a caption of ethnic discrimination in Iboland and one of the mods hated the revelation and what it says about Iboland and deleted my thread.

Practically in Iboland if a woman is from Enugu, she is not qualified to seek political post in any other state in Iboland beside her home state of Enugu. The treatment is reciprocated among other states in SE.
In Ngwa land, the town declared that non-Ngwas were not qualified to be voted into the SUG of the university.
We also have on record many instances where a Bishop from Awka, Anambra cannot be Deacon in Mbaise, Imo because he is not son of the soil.

For people that live in denial of diversity, they should experience rejection and denied inclusion in other places.

This is thread is not tribal or hatred, we need to embrace diversity and to practice it through action. As many instances that exist of Yoruba accomodation and tolerance of others, and particularly the Ibo....we still fail to see a return openess and inclusion of Yorubas in prominent Govt positions in Iboland. As we speak, there are three Yorubas I know of that are in top Govt service in North. One of them is Fausat Adebola Ibikunle, Commissioner in El Rufai's cabinet.

In the old days and under Kings, diplomatic exchanges and acts of bonding was practiced to promote peace across cultures. Thus young maidens were married into noble lineages to seal alliance. There were many of such between Yoruba and Hausa. Modernity has substituted such practices with inclusion in govt cabinets and or in top visible positions. These individuals thus serve as ambassadors to build bridge across cultures and seal alliances for political cooperation.

In Yorubaland on its own, our sons and daughters are scattered around and positioned in different states away from their origin. This has been possible everytime we have a uniformity in political presence and represented across board under one party. It is very important that Yorubaland continue in this practice of shuffling competent Yoruba sons and daughters to serve in cabinets of any state within the homeland. By extension that we also continue to practice inclusion and improvements in our peaceful exchanges with other cultures that share in our values.

A non-diverse society that denies its sons and daughters inclusion does not share in our values and if they will deny their own youths at home and discriminate them based on background and origin, how much more those of us that do not share their cultural identity.

The position of a First Lady is not elected. However, she serves a role in the political success of the husband and the progress and growth of the state far more than the array of aides and special assistants sorrounding the Governor. It is not a position to be dismissed. Besides, state constitution allows for State budget allocation to fund the office and its staff.

I am hereby declaring to my brothers in Ondo, and the generality of Yoruba youths to support and vote a YORUBA WOMAN as FIRST LADY in the coming election in Ondo State.

Benue people have been in top political positions in Yorubaland as far back as Awo's AG....upto the second coming in UPN. As recent as 2000 there were two Benue people in cabinets in SW.

Back in their home states candidates were excluded simply because they did not belong. Lagos hires and promotes on merit in the civil service. Back in SE they fire and repatriate civil servants back to their home states.

We value diversity, we will drive the campaign for diversity across Nigeria. Those who remain shut to others in their region will equally be shut out in our homeland. Diversity is the engine for the Nigerian unity.

How do you explain a society that declared that youths in their late teens and early twenties from different states are not qualified to be voted into the student union council of a University on its land?

Do you really have any proof as regards these assertions? Were you there when all those sacking was going on or are they just hearsays?

How many Yerobber ppl come to apply in Igbo land?
In my class in med school, there was only 1 Yerobber, in the classes above and below,none.
But there's no class in a medical school anywhere in Nigeria you won't find 10 Igbos.
Is it also Igbos that prevent you ppl from being rarely seen in Uyo,Maiduguri,Zamfara etc where you still find Igbo ppl in large numbers?
