Ibom Air is pleased to finally receive it’s 5th Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft, the 2nd of the 2 additional aircraft purchased in Dec. 2019. The aircraft, with registration number 5N-BXO, arrived Lagos from Calgary, Canada at 00:05 am local time, Saturday morning, (1st August, 2020). With this latest addition the total number of aircraft in the Ibom Air's fleet is now five. Recall that the Akwa Ibom state government launched an airline company 2 years ago. The company has since become a national sensation with two additional flights added to the initial take off 3. Recall the recently Ibom Air also launched new route. These include the much anticipated Lagos - Calabar route, Lagos - Port Harcourt route etc. The company has also said that they are considering the Uyo - Cameroon route. Governor udom Emmanuel has said that the company will be adding to its fleet 1 aircraft every year until he leaves office as governor, promising to bring the total number of aircraft in the fleet to 8 before the expiration of his tenure.
