Hello nairalanders. I had a cooking incident in October last year and I got burned, though not too badly. Some parts have healed like nothing happened but a part of my skin has turned white after the burn. The burn healed a month after the accident but a part of my skin has turned white. It's been over 9 months now and though it has darkened to an extent, it's still much lighter than my skin colour. It's not a scar, it feels exactly like my normal skin, just a bit more tender. I don't know if this is going to go away with time. I have been using bio oil to moisturize. Is there anyone who has experienced the same thing? Did it darken with time? Or is there any healthcare practitioner who is experienced in burn care and has an idea on what I should do?

With time, it will be rarely noticeable. You don't need to worry or do anything about it though you can use python fat (abuba eke/ora ejo) on it to hasten up the process.

I'm not really an expert. I know someone that used it and she applied it every night. I don't think there's an overdose, it's just like body cream.
