The reason why the town is underdeveloped is because they are stupid and superstitious. If they could still believe that laughable folklore, then they wouldn't believe anything logical. Heard oba of Benin still forbade roasting of yams. Idiotic African rulers. 6 Likes |

how can you have any tangible development in your domain with this kind of superstitious belief and mentality. Your people are held in bondage and darkness and you think the ones that escaped would come back home? go and break that taboo and set your people free first. 3 Likes |

This is amazing. I so much love African culture precisely Yoruba culture and tradition despite not being a Yoruba man. I won't be surprise if some people say things contrary to the reason behind this taboo but would rather believe the book that told them that God instruct them not to eat pig cos it's unclean animals without going deep to know why pig was forbidden by Arab people in the past and also would believe that Jesus Christ is coming back without asking the reason why the Jews believe that Jesus Christ is coming back. #Emancipate yourself from mental slavery....none, but ourselves can free our mind. Kriss216: With due respect, Your summary was correct until you introduced God. How does God come into this if they served worshiped or served the dog(stone)? By the way, what I expect from the is to ban dog eating and let them serve as pet and I mean real pet so as to appease that particular dog. 3 Likes |

We don't eat dog meat as well in my hometown same in Osun State but we rear. Omo Olo'tan ti ko gbodo je aja. Otan-Ayegbaju... My hometown. Any son or daughter of the soil must never go near dog meat else he/she will bark like a dog till he/she dies.... It has no antidote. 2 Likes |

damosky12:it is actually foolishness. Incoherent and illogical story and the story itself doesn't add up Number 1 what makes a dog turn to a stone? Does that even sound rational to you? Number 2 when did dogs start complaining about the food it is given to the extent of complaining in human language? Except there's a particular breed of dogs that speak human language and talk like humans If at all the hogwash is true how can you a human being with a sound mind and Intellect be worshipping an animal? An ANIMAL? And you're now saying there's no development.no there will be development in a community where superstition supercedes common sense 3 Likes 2 Shares |
