Mattresses are not like our foodstuff that requires constant purchasing or stocking. Of course, a mattress is essential for our wellbeing, we need to have a good knowledge of when to change our mattress if we must continue to enjoy quality health. Yes, you may feel like you’ve spent a lot your current mattress, but the truth is, no mattress lasts forever.

A time would come when you would need to change your mattress. Findings have shown that a quality mattress should last for at least 10 -15 years, however, you do not have to wait so long if you are experiencing discomfort, go ahead and find out all you need to know as you plan a new purchase.

Also, a depreciated mattress would become saggy and not offer you as much support as a new one, if one isn’t careful or observant, they may begin to feel body aches without realizing the need for replacement.
If you’re having struggles with your health, especially backaches, or you can hardly fall asleep at night, then, here are 5 cogent points to help you know when is the right time to change your mattress.

During pregnancy
It is no news that pregnant women go through a lot of changes during pregnancy and a lot of them experience different levels of inconveniences. Often time, their mattress may not give them as much support as they want. At this point, it is advisable to get a new mattress to help improve the pregnant woman’s comfort.
A dual side mattress or customized mattress can help her go through this phase and offer support throughout the entire journey to delivery.

Difficulty falling asleep
Everyone has got their internal clock, however, if you do not have underlining conditions like anxiety or insomnia and still struggle to fall asleep, then it is time to consider getting a new mattress. Normally, it takes about 10-25 minutes to fall asleep when you’re lying on a bad without being distracted by lights from screens.
As experts, we also recommend that you meet with your physician, this article is meant to serve as a first aid guide if you agree with us that your mattress might be stressing your health. A healthy person with a normal sleep cycle should not have difficulties falling asleep.

Frequent waking up at night

If you wake too frequently at night and eventually have a less productive day as a result of dozing off through the day, then, it is most likely time to get a new one.

Have you laid on a bed that sinks as though you’re putting your legs into the mud? Well, when this becomes a noticeable feature of your mattress, it is a perfect time to get a replacement. If the edges of your mattress are beginning to crake and show obvious signs of weakness, then, the time has come for a change. A sagging mattress would not give your body enough support, this can tell on your health if not corrected.

When the need arises
Sometimes you don’t have to wait for the indicators of a bad mattress before you change your mattress. This is not to say that you should make a new purchase when you don’t have to. If you think you’re not getting the comfort or luxury you desire from your current mattress, then you should go ahead to get another if you can afford to, the truth of the matter is, comfort is priceless and cannot be replaced with anything. So, if you can afford the best of the best when it concerns your wellbeing and comfort, do go ahead.
