Has anyone also experienced this? it is kinda weird. But i always talk smoothly and flow well when I speak English. But whenever i talk to people in Yoruba the stuttering starts.

It's a yorubad trait of psycho-social thought. Clearly too, it's likely you don't really fluent or summon courage speaking the language. To others, it's a common phenomenum the other way round.

it happens to almost every bilinguals. that is because you use English more than u use ur native language which will lead to gradual demise in ur ability to use ur native language.

Op, you just raised a very important issue, I had observed that anytime I speak/argue in English, I am fluent but when I'm arguing/quarreling in Hausa language, I stutter like mad, I kept wondering until reading your post. I think the cause is because I mostly speak English and I seldomly speak Hausa, so when I speak(ing) Hausa my brain processes the words slowly. When I try to force the words out (in an argument/quarrel), there's bound to be seizures.

It's because you are not fluent in Yoruba, as simple as that. I stutter when I speak yoruba and igbo too, but if I speak English, I'm almost rapping, and to none natives, I'll be too fast for them.
