After you spoiled everything
Your darling rogue president can never do in 8 years what Obasanjo did in just 2 years in government in terms of accomplishment, unless you want to talk about the stealing and corruption, your myopic darling president has surpassed the whole of pdp 16 years in just 4 years.

in scale of 100%
achievement =

Obasanjo 99% ( foreign debt relief, foreign reserve, security high, foreign policy and investments, communication, reinforcement of Armed Forces etc)

Buhari 1% (foreign debt piling, foreign reserve almost 0, security appalling, foreign policy and and investment almost nothing the ones we have are leaving, Armed Forces is at its lowest since independence.

corruption, stealing (embezzlement)

= pdp 16 years (54%)

buhari 4 years (46%)

The least I expect Obasanjo to do is to sponsor any capable and willing youth. He should create a platform for that and ask those interested to run for different offices to indicate their interest.

I can understand where you are coming from, but you should see everything with a dark light.

You should keep yourself open to adjustment, let we the youths first get that structure into the political parties then, then the next generation will try to uphold the same thing against the older generation.

We owe this to our unborn children.

Amotolongbo:
Did you read the last part where he talked about the party structure which will work in favor of the youth?

These present old generation leaders were youth when they took over, and they don’t wanna leave. The same way these youth will be when they seize power from them.

Another problem we have in Nigeria is that after these youths have successfully taken the power from the old generation, they will also end up seating tight and prevent the next youth generation from taking over by manipulating and reviewing the same constitution that brought them in, to their favor and against the next generation.

Selfishness is everyone’s watchword in Nigeria

Baba is right. but he would have opposed it during his time. if we are to make way we need young leaders. less than 40yrs. the only thing our old leaders know is what happened in 1975 and everyone returning back to the village to farm.

Gowon, Muritala, Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha ruled this country as youths. Not mentioning some military Governors who ruled in their 20's. Our problem is not about youth being in charge but total emacipation from mental, phisical and spiritual slavery!

....... evident in sooo many comments before this..... and will be in comments after. How can youths coming of age in the 21st century... in the digital age.... want to be ruled by men who came of age in the 1900's.... whose mindset remain in the 1900's.... who are illeterates? ... yes illiterates.... (in todays world if you are not computer savvy.... digital savvy... you are an illiterate). Is this not some form of mental slavery?... choosing malfunctioning analogue over digital to lead us into the future?... to lead a nation of overwhelming youths?

On "leadership affirmative action".... 40 years is generally too young. The striking thing is neither of the parties has next generation members being groomed for leadership.... and that's not a problem with the youths.Back to the future... we shouldn't complain. Nigerian youths lack militancy.

I agree with Obasanjo totally.
But to do this, you need financial muscle. You can't just demand this things and get it by just word if mouth. How many Nigerians less than 40 years have upto 50 million naira in their account?

If the 50s generation of south Koreans think like you that country would have remained miserably poor.

I don't take what crooks like OBJ say seriously, he and his brought our country to its knees, so in my opinion he doesn't have moral ground to be telling we the what and what not do. That such a person is yet to be prosecuted for his crimes is beyond me.

No, sir!

Wit what OBJ jst suggested, if Incorporated, d constitution wil be d one 2 legally checkmate d sit-tight or stay-put syndrome of d oldies by constitutionally weeding out old pple within certain age brackets while integrating a minimum percentage of youths into d sys!

You are one of the problem with the youths. This is what those useless elders do all the time. They make us look like damaged products that are irredeemable and I stand to be corrected most of the moral ills we have today is because we have no mentors, morally bankrupt elders that is why there is a leadership crisis and a dearth in statesmanship.

Somehow, I think yhu are right but can yhu compare the youths then with ours.

Back then, the guys yhu mentioned were focused and understood leadership. They were not seen hanging their trousers behind their waist and forming malian around.

They weren't carried away with BBN and only making noise on SM, no, they got involved in the system. In fact, most of them fought their way through to get there.
