This is where Afonjas get their statistics, they must agree with this.

I disagreed with the PhD unemployed figures. How many PhD holders do we have that 18k would be unemployed? Having a phd is like being a Prof in some States. They used the same sample without considering educationally disadvantaged areas. PhD is not for the unemployed except for those that have sponsors. The least can be underemployed. I believe underemployed is more than 50% among those believed to be employed.

If you lived during the Abacha days you would know exactly what I'm talking about! You are still able to come on Nairaland, Instagram etc and voice your criticism, you are still able to organize protest, girls are still able to twerk on social media, you still dey watch BB9ja and so on. The person I quoted said it has never been this bad....LMAO!

I will agree with the person you quoted; It has NEVER been this bad, under Abacha!
I lived through the Obasanjo (Fela years), Buhari/Idiagbon (War against Indiscipline), Babangida (Alli must go, SAP, Maradona, MKO Riots), Abacha (Al Mustapha, NADECO years), though they were bad but honestly, it is not as bad as we have now.

I am not saying this because l dislike PMB, it is quite the opposite because (Shamefully, l admit), l am one of those who voted for him and convinced a lot of friends to vote for him, due to the 'pace of discipline' we began to see under his deputy, Tunde Idiagbon! I was hoping it will continue in 2015, not to mention that Jonathan made such choice very easy for us but hindsight has shown that we were decieved and we cant blame the deciever, we took the best decidion based on the information at hand and the "deciever" was just wickedly smarter.

If anyone disagree with me that it was worse, l will only put forward one practical example which we can all relate to:
- In the years of Abacha or even the Evil Genious, we did not have one-tenth of Nigerians being slaughtered on a daily basis, as we have now.
Whether by Bandits, Boko Haram, ISWAP, terrorist Fulani Herdsmen, Kidnappers, Ritualists, it has never being this bad.
Right now, no one dare travel on any of our Highways, it is a huge risk and the probability that you will be kidnapped, killed or ransomed or both, is like 9/10. It is almost certain.
- Even Governors with Full Armed Security Cover/Escort, are being attacked, how much more a single person like me?
Did that ever happen under Abacha?

- Do you think if Abacha was the President today, Boko Haram would not have been decimated and finished off? That guy was wicked, evil, a killer but he is very decisive and does not habor terrorists and Fulani Herdsmen.

- If Obasanjo was President today, he may not have cleared all these Northern terrorists completely but l can tell you that they wont be this so confident and brazen, OBJ would have ordered the complete FLATENNING of Sambissa Forests, as in level it like Odi, from the air.

- If IBB was President today, l know that he wont tolerate all this nonsense of rehabillitating Terrorists, he would have ordered the Army to smoke them out and he would have changed any COAS that is not performing or sack him completely, his records are there to back that up.

- But under this Buhari's regime, he blames the victims of terrorists and ask them to "accomodate" their killers, his Security Chiefs have become 'Fish Exporters and Partners of Boko Haram', in BAGGA, Borno State/Chad . A lot of Victims have recounted how they call secuirty to assist them when under attack by terrorists but the Security forces say they are under INSTRUCTION NOT TO ENGAGE!
Can that sort of thing happened under Abacha or IBB or OBJ?

- Under this Buhari regime, Security Chiefs have told Victims that they would continue to be killed by Fulani herdsmen UNLESS they are ready to part wit their Ancestral land, did we hear that under Abacha?

- Can Boko Haram be killing our military soldiers enmasse, under an Abacha Govt and he wont have ordered the sack of the Service Chiefs and put more astute and dedicated Chiefs in place?

- Can terrorists and Fulani Herdsmen be killing Christians in Southern Kaduna (under a 24hr Curfew when no one is supposed to be outside) and El Rufai will be playing Islamic Games with Christian lives, under an Abacha regime? WilL Abacha nothave dipatched El Rufai to Kudje Prison?
Abacha is a Killer but he kills without the extreme Nepotism, as we have seen under this Buhari Govt.

Truth be told, whether deliberately or otherwise due to infirmity, We have never had it this bad in terms of Security, Safety of Human Life and property, under Abacha. Buhari is just "absent", when it comes to effective running of this country, he is too concerned about a"fathom Coup", due to his 1984 Coup experience, that as long as the Service Chiefs promise him safety in Aso Rock, he doe snot care about what happenes to Nigerians.
This is not an endorsement of that woeful Jonathan Govt, that one was just all about looting and incompetence but even at that, the level of looting and incompetence under this Buhari regime, is just mind-bogling. It is not abut APC, it is about Buhari himself, his priorities are just in congruence with that of the terrorists, especially the imported, Fulani Herdsmen.

And to think that this is a Civilian Govt, a Democracy, where Soldeirs are unleashed on UNARMED protesters but same Soldeirs cant be unleashed on Killer terrorists, where Terrorirts are rehabilitated and treated like Royalty, while their Victims are still scattered in IDP Camps, suffering, while their Lands are being renamed into FUlani Names, did such happen under Abacha?
Where even Jonathan is clamping someone into Prison for just "parodying him" (Meme) and Governors are putting Journalists into Dungeons at will or arresting people for saying their mind of Social media...in A DEMOCRACY?!
Did Abacha stop people from posting on Social Media?

The Verdict is: It has never been this worse, even under Abacha. That is my Opinion

Like You said this is your opinion and in no way factual, even tho you presented yourself as well versed in Nigerian history, your arguments are more sentimental than factual. Let me disprove one thing, you said people were not dying on a daily basis during Abacha regime? I laugh in Swahili, consider the following events:

January 18, 1996: Bomb blast at Durba Hotel Kaduna kills one, and injures another.

January 19, 1996: Bomb explodes at Malam Aminu Kano Airport, Kano.

February 2, 1996: Alex Ibru, publisher of The Guardian titles and Abacha’s first Minister of Internal Affairs is shot and wounded by gunmen suspected to be hired assassins.

February 3, 1996: Bomb explodes at the main Police station in Zaria.

April 13, 1996: Bomb explosions at Ikeja Military Cantonment; one person killed and two injured.

April 25, 1996: Bomb explosion occurs at the Ikeja Air force base, injuring two.

June 4, 1996: Alhaja Kudirat Abiola senior wife to the president-elect and a fierce fighter for the validation of the mandate, is murdered by unknown assassins in Lagos.

November 14, 1996: Car bomb explosion at Murtala Mohammed International Airport kills 3 persons including the Chief Security Officer of the Federal Airport Authority (FAA), Dr. Shola Omasola.

April 22, 1998: Bomb explosion at Evans Square, Ebutte-Metta in Lagos injures many.

April 23, 1998: Bomb explosion kills five in Sabo area in Ile-Ife.

These are just some of the casualties of a brutal regime, I did not mention killing of journalists, crackdown on opposition leaders and virtually zero freedom of speech. I am not even going to talk about the economic meltdown, the looting and the "JUST PRINT IT" mentality of Central Bank. For the Families of Ken Saro, Kudirat Abiola and countless others, WE REJECT YOUR CLAIM!

A country with no data on the number of its citizens and no information about them.
A country that does not know the number of birth and death per day, per week, per month and yearly.
A country that has not been able to conduct a successful census.
A country that has refused to conduct head count for the last 14 year.

This is more than hate speech.

Please, where did you see the figure you are giving to the public.?

All these government agents should be prosecuted for falsehood.

When we can't even get it right statistically, then how do we know which problem to address?

What platform is available for Nigerians to state their state of employability?

Just keep voting blindly for these people, and expect change, "OnYourOwn"!!!!! That's OYO for you.
