The Fourth Mainland Bridge cannot start until this Regional road is completed or clearly paved because it is the link to the bridge according to the plan. As you can see, the road is just at the ground-braeking state; just about to take off.
However, the eight contractors shortlisted (from the initial 30 that signified their interest to build the projects) are still been screened and according to the state governor as depicted in the LASG website, the publics would get to know their choice in few months. But they don't wann rush things since the project can't commence until road linking to it has been well paved or completed.

Is there nothing other than insult that come out of your mouth?

Nigeria is a fvcked up country. Surely, these structures have been there before those multi billion investments projects were cited. In sane climes, consultations would be held and stakeholders’ views given due considerations. If the establishment of the industry must go ahead at the expense of existing communities and infrastructures, those infrastructures must be costed and compensations duly paid before the investment project itself begins. Anybody following the London Heathrow expansion as well as HS2 project in England would know the extent of consultations, protestations, compensations involved. You simply don’t use the might of governance and pull down people’s property, especially when these had government building approval.

If owners of the structures being demolished were duly consulted, respected and fully compensated (full payment already made to the affected persons’ bank account), then no objections. Otherwise, this is very very bad.

I advised somebody not to build on that route in 2007 but land speculators and agents with big belle convinced my client, they even called me small boy. See am now
